Strength:
The Cliffnet Wizard allows for easy control of your entire (well almost entire) alarm system through a Windows based program. It is easy to use and takes away that annoyance of having to program everything through the remote. Researched alot of various alarms systems and Clifford had the best systems, every time I arm or disarm the car it sends a new coded signal, so even if someone reads it, it will not work again, pretty cool. The proximity sensor is also not affected by humidity which quite a few others are.
Weakness:
Have found the proximity sensor to be real touchy. It is mounted in the center of my console to create the field around my car. If I leave change or any metallic objects on my console I will normally come back to a false alarm. Also, the Cliffnet Wizard version they give to the User has alot fewer features than the dealer version. We set a few features at the dealer that caused problems for me and I was not able to shut them off with my Cliffnet Wizard version. I had it installed in Washington D.C. and have since driven the car back to Texas. I have contacted Clifford and they say there is two new versions of the Cliffnet Wizard about to be released. A newer, more extensive version for Windows, and a Windows CE version. Paid $650 installed. Great system, just make sure you go to a dealer that has a good reputation, it will avoid headaches later. It is worth the extra money. Similar Products Used: Code Alarm |
