Strength:
has a lot of great options, such as starter kill, command start hook up, and 3 extra buttons for trunk pop, windows, door locks, and the remote puts out a diffrent code every time so no one can find it on a scaner and so on.
Weakness:
the only problem i have with this product is that the range is acting up, i can only get about 2 meters away, then it doesn't work It is a verry good pruduct, has saved me a few times. hooks up to my viper comand start, verry nice for the winter, start the car and still be armed, also put 2 new led lights in bright white and blue and a second siren. I also have starter kill included in the 450 price. Similar Products Used: gargoyle-2000 |

Fatal flaw - (see Review Summary above) And, it is clearly designed by a NON-PARENT... There are only 15 seconds to auto-arming, which is just not enough time for the parent who needs to get out of the car, and walk around the car to the opposite side rear door to get their kid. (Now, to go off on a tangent, you kid is MUCH safer in the middle, not on the passenger side of the rear seat, but I digress). Anyway... one fatal flaw, one minor flaw. Compared to the 5 DEI products I''ve owned, this alarm has 1 fatal flaw in it''s design, and a minor inconvenience that will mostly be a problem for parents. The auto-arming feature only works on the initial engine turning off. So, lets say you park, go to the house, then realize you forgot something in the car. So you go back to the car, open it, and forget to re-arm. It will NOT re-arm, after that first auto-arming, and this is NOT configurable. I''m lucky I still have my car. Similar Products Used: I''ve owned 4 other DEI products, with no complaints. (At least, with no Fatal complaints) |

Strength:
Good features
Weakness:
Didn''t last too long. No service from so called "dealers." It was a good alarm until it started to fail. So called "dealers" won''t event talk to you if they didn''t install it. |

Strength:
style, remote fits very nice in hand...
Weakness:
i've seen in other alpine security systems the remote buttons go bad quickly...haven't experienced it with this model yet but i will definitely let you know. I love it so far. Consistent with the shock sensor, one button lock/unlock/arm/disarm remote(although it has 3 other buttons for valet/ext outputs). Automatic door locks after car turned on for 10 seconds, automatic door unlock after car turned off. so far an extremely high quality product. dome light supervision... Similar Products Used: crime guard, bulldog. Outscored the bulldog series easily, crime guard was alittle below the alpine. |

Strength:
Very nice features
Weakness:
none worth listing This is a very good unit, I just wish that the place I got it from gave me instructions on how to use the different features, like setting the sensor level and the valet mode. I want to get an add on for the trunk and windows, I think I can get up to three different add ons, like for the trunk, windows, vehicle start, or even for the sunroof if I had one - all from the remote. One thing I like is that I never have to worry about unlocking the doors with the key which is espeacilly nice when in a hurry or in the winter.
