Nissan Titan
Strength:
305Hp, tailgate assist, real truck stance, all the standard equipment, huge, huge back seat/legroom, bedliner, can we say monsterous horsepower.
Weakness:
rear seatbelt tensioners lock in too soon, uncomfortable for small children, mpg, high step-in, floor mats poor materials, windshield wiper control stick is positioned to close to gearshift selector. Watch out Big 3 in Detroit. This truck is for real! Throttle tip-in, high-seating, cavernous interior, very comfy seats(front & back), flat cargo bed.. the list goes on. This is my 3rd truck, and am amazed every time I drive this monster. STep on the throttle and hang on. The truck feels though it has even more gears when you reach 95mph. My family has taken 3 vacations, and multiple trips without complaints. Every one loves driving/riding in the Titan. The seats are supportive, controls are just where they feel they should be, nice amber ligthing at night, nice sound system, cold A/C, hot heat. My wife constantly wants to drive it, while the kids(2 girls) want to ride in it; because they can actually see out of their seat without any obstructions. Can't get over it's a Nissan. Nissan didn't come to join the tea party, they came to win. Similar Products Used: 2001 Ford Expedition, 86 Chevy S-10, 78 Ford F-150 Explorer, in-laws Ford F-150(86,88 & 2003), Dad's 99 Silverado |

Titan King Cab SE W/ Popular Package
Strength:
LOTS of interior space, Good full size truck, not too big not too small. Love the features, back up sensors, auto dimming rear view mirror, power seats, steering wheel mounted audio control.
Weakness:
Although the truck has a LOT of power and is very fast, it could use just a little more help off the line.
I just bought this truck a few days ago and it's great. This is my first truck I've owned and I just can't get enough of it. It's big but not so big that I can't park it where I want, it drives as smooth as the Altima I previously owned and not to mention it's FAST!!!!! If you want a full size truck you MUST go with the Titan. It's already passed the back seat test with friends and family who have stated that it's very comfortable to sit in. All I can say is that I LOVE this truck, it looks great, rides great, and for the value it holds its own. Nissan Titan 4x4 Off road package
Strength:
Torque, adaptability, Fun, Practicality, ability.
Weakness:
plain guages. Not as plush as other trucks. I concur with most of the reviewers who have given their opinions on the new Nissan Titan and closely relate to those who have declared their absolute love for this ride. I have never owned a truck before and never really thought of owning one until I had my first child. I own a Viper and have always driven fast cars with alot of power in the past. I tried several pickups out wanting to stray away from an SUV. In my search for the perfect family truck, I ran across the nissan Titan. I test drove that thing and was hooked. Since I bought my Titan I have taken it off-roading with a couple off range rovers and H2s on pretty challenging trails and was more than pleased. I pulled a tree stump out of my front yard smoked some other trucks and even cars on the road. In short the truck has been loads of fun. I am happy I bought the truck. Nissan Titan XE Crew Cab
Strength:
Price, Value, Nissan Reputation, Versatility, Power.
Weakness:
Gas Mileage, Size (parking, etc.). Nice Truck, very refined. This is the "base" model Titan, but the power train is identical in all model Titans. Sure, you can jack the price up to the upper 30's, but for the money the XE is a whale of a value. It IS a truck, and as such does not ride the same as an SUV - if you want that, then get an Armada and be prepared to pay an additional 10k for the priviledge. In the Titan, your coffee may spill a bit easier than your everyday sedan. I've heard some complaints about the exhaust note, but can't agree with them. The exhause sounds mellow and meaty, no way interfering with in-cab conversation. The turning radius is just fine for a 19.5 foot vehicle. Really, the only drawbacks are the gas mileage and the ability to park in tight spaces. There is a price to pay for having full 6 passenger seating and a 5'7" bed to boot. This truck has plenty of power! I think part of the problem many have with gas mileage is the temptation to tap into that power often. If you drive more conservatively you find that just a minor adjustment to the gas pedal yields instant results. I've also heard complaints about the brakes. Although I haven't racked up a lot of miles yet, I think you need to be aware that this is a heavy, large vehicle, and for that reason alone many need to adjust their driving style accordingly. The brakes work great, and it's too easy to forget that this is an over two ton set of wheels. A more conservative approach in braking will probably result in better brake performance over time. These are 4 wheel disk brakes, and although they are ABS on all models, they work extremely well. If you want a great deal of versatility in a truck with loads of room, Nissan dependability and great road presence than this is the truck for you. The XE currently represents a great value, especially since there is a $1500 rebate on the crew cab, and a $2000 rebate on the King cab up to May 31, 2005. Not much time left, though. I've also heard some complaints about the weight of the tailgate. I don't quite understand why - while it is a bit heftier than the others, it reeks of quality, and has a self-dampening system that prevents it from opening to quickly, which is nice. In passing, my 5'2" tall, 110 lb. wife drove it home from the dealer and loves it too. She's only been driving for just about 2 years in a Sentra! Nissan Titan SE Crew Cab
Strength:
Looks great, drives great, lots of power, great handling, roomy interior.
Weakness:
Stiff ride, has not stood the test of time since this is only its second production year A quality alternative to Ford and Chevy. Nissan has done what Toyota has been unable to. Truck is solid! Great passing power, pulling power, looks and interior space. Ride is a little stiff, but helps handling a great deal. Only question is "will it last?" Only time will tell. I'm "banking" on it! Nissan's recognition of domestic loyalty should be taken into account. Their $1.4 billion production plant in Canton, MS is state of the art, employs thousands of Americans and is a great marketing tool being in the heart of the south where domestic brand loyalty reigns. SE King Cab 4X2
Strength:
Best bang for the buck. Comfort. Options/accesories. Roominess.
Weakness:
Different Bed options would be nice- especially on the crew cab... but I'm not complaining seeing how it helped to keep their pricing lower. What a great truck- Best bang for the buck without a doubt- Purchased a fully loaded (all accessories/options) SE- and everything has been better than expected. Plenty of room in the back (king cab)- and the folding up seats are awesome for our 2 100 lb dogs- they can even spread themselves out! The gas mileage is good for a truck- better than most, and most SUV's for that matter. The thing is just awesome. You will not go wrong if you need/want a pick-up. there is no doubt about it- The titan is the way to go. Similar Products Used: F-150 Explorer GMC Jimmy (avoid at all costs!) |

large and roomy cab/ very impressive exterior / it draws the attention/ comfortable seats / good and very solid driving /
Weakness:
Dome lite switch and position is almost dangerous for access and something must be done / I 've checked with dealer and they tell me no console is available / will have to manufacture one myself I guess./ the heater control switch is a bit difficult to read/ the ac always comes on not sure why / Hi ,I have bought my first silverado in 1989 / the second a chevy blazer 90 / an all wheel drive in summer of 90 / so on and so on my last one is a blazer 2001 / still got it one of my kids is using it about 135 thousand ks. and almost 6000.00 on repairs / got fed up needed another truck and went to Nissan Titan . will not go back to american cars. The few things i want to change is the dome lite wich i think is a very serious accident just waiting to happen since you must turn completely around in order to turn it on and at the same time must take your eyes off the road. I changed the oil to synthetic because the engine was a little hard to startin minus 30 celcius . still is will have to put a bigger battery in the spring . The engine is powerfull we are pulling a trailer fairly heavy at times , no problem.very good brakes the abs is much better than on GM's. In 4 X 4 mode it takes a little more to turn . If I keep this model and i think I will i will get remote oil filter too hard to remove the plate to change the filter. the Tailgate could have been sort of power assisted it is very heavy to close. there has been a recall on the seatbelts but i was unaware of it until i came to the dealer for something and they fixed it right away , I do not think Nissan follows too close on their customers. Room for 5 305 hp V8 amazing sound system Perfect ride hieght
Weakness:
The 1 and ONLY bad thing I found was the break and gas peddle are too close together, in my opinion. I wear a 10 1/2 double wide boot, so in a quick breaking situation I find myself stepping on the right side on the break peddle, like most people, and as my foot presses down I hit the gas peddle as well. Then again it may just be my heel positioning on the floor. I bought my Titan SE a month ago. I owned an S10 4x2 for 3 years and was in search of something bigger and meaner. I did my homework on Silverados, and Colorados. One day I saw an add for the Nissan Titan King Cab, and my views and opinion about Nissan trucks changed forever. I gave my Titan a test drive, and a week later it was all mine. My sales person grbbed the keys for the test drive and we hopped in, and start up the amazing 305 hp beast. The truck was parked faceing the main street, but blocked in on both sides and the back. So in 4 wheel drive I took my soon to be Titan over the 6 inch curb, onto the grass, and back down to the pavement. by the end of my 10 mile test drive I found the seats VERY comfy, the sound system great with the 6 disk in dash CD player. The power moveing peddles, windows, door locks and side views are a perfect plus. The 5.6 V8 does eat through gas like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat, but it doesn't matter to me. Some reviews say that the engine is too noisy, but I love the monsterous sound. Bumper to bumper this most roomy I've driven to date. It fits 2 adults in front perfect, and 2 children in the back great. So if you've got kids and love a big, tall, powerfull, roomy truck then this is your answer. With the back seats up you can place almost anything behind the front seats. If it doesn't fit there you've got a bed in the back. If your looking to buy a Titan feel free to get ahold of me. |

Weakness:
Gas, This truck consumes gas like it going out of style! best milage so far 10.91mi./gal. I love this truck! After 2 months of intense truck shopping and compared against all others, this truck can't be beat. I had to have my 6-disk CD replaced but Nissan took care of it, and as far as I know it is not a common problem. You'll catch everyone lookin at it. If you get the 4x4 I suggest the step bars, its a bit of a jump getting in. And if you tow, your going to need a serious drop, I needed 7" drop. Utility Bed is a must have!!! On crew cab the bed extender comes in handy and the bed divider is nice too! Similar Products Used: GMC Sierra, Yukon XL, Ford F150 |
