Strength:

LT TRIMLINE LIKE A BMW, TOWING POWER IS UNMACHED, TRUCK HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. DROVE ALL DIESELS AND THE ANSWER WAS SIMPLE. FORD TRANNY IS WEAK, HAVE TWO FRIENDS THAT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE REAR ENDS AND BOTH HAD TO REPLACE TRANS.(UNDER 2OK MILES) DODGE HAS A GOOD TRACK RECORD BUT IS SO LOUD THAT YOU CANT EVEN HEAR THE RADIO? 18 TO 21 MPGs

Weakness:

none

Ordered the truck in dec01 and recieved it apr 02 and have been impressed ever since. The power and torque of the 6.6 DURAMAX DIESEL mated to the ALLISON 5spd auto with grade braking is unsurpased!!!The first time that my wife and i towed our trailer (horse) i kept looking in the mirror to make sure it was still there there!

Strength:

Strong Pick up with ample cab space and has great ergonomic features.

Weakness:

Pine Belt Chev of Lakewood tore the corn husk off the farmer

This truck is powered by a V6 Vortek: it compares to an 8 cyl. in some RPM zones. It rides like a car, (at no load ). This truck handles excellent. For example; All last summer I hauled wood chips to my property. The bed of the truck had chips and the trailer I towed had chips. The truck performed well. The only negatives about the truck are a; front side running light took a poo. & Pine Belt Chev ripped me off on the purchase

engine. interior/exterior. Sound system. Onstar. seat warmers. Seat memory. rear entry from both sides of the cab.

Weakness:

too much plastic. Tough to turn around in a tight area. Lot of money to buy.

Rides nice. Great interior/exterior. Awesome power. The leather bucket seats are nice. Has the feeling of luxury in a truck. Dash does have the General Motors squeak over bumps though. Bought the truck because I drove my Father in laws for two weeks. Absolutley fantastic in the snow. Handled great.

No problems with the trucks ability and power.

Weakness:

Locking rear axle doesn't hold. Firestone tires punctures easaly.

This truck has everything I expected and more. Great ride for a 34 ton pu. A joy to drive and own. But, It has a 4.10 rear, locking axles. I have found that on a small incline [gravle or sand] when the wheels starts to spin the locking rear axles do not stay locked they jump in and out. Trying to get out of a tight spot the weels jump i.e. wheel hop. The noies on a scale of 1 to 5 is a 4 / a 5 when increaseing power. The Dealer agreeed the clutches are not working properly. Tec suport had them install shims under the leaf springs [drive angle change] Ha Ha! lame fix. No help. Now they are saying the problem may never go away. HAY you need a kidney belt to drive this thing.

Ride quality, power, comfortable seats

Weakness:

Firestone tires and that silly plastic lip on the top of the tailgate.

Finest Truck owned to date. I have driven the crap out of this truck. It has been across the country numerous times and on more hunting trips than my wife would have liked. I do agree with the the Firestone tire complaints though, mine came off at about 20K. 80k currently, would reccommend to anyone wanting a daily driver that can be used and abused on the weekends.

Everything.

Weakness:

Suspension is a little rough, center caps on rims come off easily.

This truck is the best you can get. GM makes very reliable engines that will last you for years to come if you know how to take care of it. This truck is very comforable, everything is easily accessible (radio, climate controls) so you are not looking too far off the road. I have had no problems whatsoever with this truck and it's beautiful. The onlt reason some people are having a lot of problems with them are that they aren't thoroughly checking the vehicle before they buy it. Any problems with these trucks are due to poor care. I have no complaints.

Strength:

Great motor, lots of interior room, great brakes

Weakness:

know that I know of

Bought this truck used. I wanted to see how the trucks held up. After seeing how these trucks did I found this used 99. The only problem I have had with it was a clunk in the steering shaft. Took it to the dealer for repairs. They lubed the steering shaft...one of the GM techincal service bulletin. Have nt had the noise back since. Love the truck. Has the 6.0 in it. More than enough power. I have hauled my friend jet boat many time out and back to the river. Never had any problems with hills or passing. The truck has 52,000 plus miles on it. I have used Mobil 1 since I bought the truck...I dont know if that is why I dont have the start up knock that everyone else talks about. Brakes are great on these trucks. Not like the older trucks where you replaced them every 25-30,000. Last time I had them checked they still had 90 to 85% of the pad life left.
