very little.....
Weakness:
Power.. Back door would not unlock with remote.. have to use the key... I got this it at 55,000 miles saleman said "this car is sound, nothing wrong, we had it checked before we sell it to anybody" and showed me where it ranked and all that good stuff.. anyway I took it in at 65,000 miles for a tune up. Tune up cost me $325 + $100 for plugs."Go to O'reilly..$38 for the same plugs" Dealer called saying that I have all this problems,, shock, exhaust manifold, injectors, and so on, so you know what that mean $$$$.00.. My Honda have 175,000 miles and I never had any of these problem... I also bought an extend warrenty and guess what.."don't cover any of this "Saleman was told me it will pay for it self... Great pitch line." "Bull SH*T" lesson learned. I will never buy at State Line Nissan or a Nissan product again. Similar Products Used: Rav 4... handles much better in snow. and it have about the same power. |

Get me around town but my honda get me around town twice!
Weakness:
power,,, weak on hills and highways Dealer told me a great story on the QX-4 how it does this and that and where it ranked. Got it at 55,000 miles. Brought it in at 65,000 for tune up, that cost $325 + $100 for spark plugs."go to O'reilly and get them 38 bucks" and came out paying 1,300 in service and parts... lots of this part should have never gone bad or cracked at 60,000 miles. Yes i can understand a belt. My HONDA has 180,000 and I haven't spent over $1000.. for maintance. And the timing belt cost me $800..... don't waste your time with this SUV go get a honda or toyota .... will never buy a nissan product again. "if you didn't know nissan makes infinti" Similar Products Used: 2001 rav 4 better in the snow.. RX300 rides smooooooth and better power. |

Strength:
Good Looks interior and exterior. Pretty good ride quality. Supposed high reliability rating by Consumer Reports.
Weakness:
Major overhaul of engine compartment to trace down a coolant leak. Lost heat for two weeks, dealership could not fit me in to their schedule, kind of cold in February. Radio loses all memory periodically. Radio shuts down on its own from time to time. Squeek in passenger door when cold out. Vibration at 70+ MPH, dealership cannot fix? Grinding noise in front end on right hand turns. Place 400 pounds in cargo area and shocks bottom out. Rear seat heater does not work. Must have been a bad day on the Japanese assembly line. Dealership is weak. Car returned to me filthy, engine compartment oily handprints everywhere and no car wash as promised. This is not a luxury vehicle and it is definately not an SUV. This is definately not Nissan reliability! Please look at other SUV''s! Very disappointing vehicle. Believe I made a poor purchasing decision. Hard to believe, but product quality has been worse than my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. Verbally explained disappointment and sent a letter to dealership GM, no response. I can only hope for the next 4 years that things get better! Similar Products Used: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. |

I bought this car after it went through a 151pt inspection and less than a week after I bought this monster the starter died on me. Low power for a car like this. Bose system sucks. Big time! Gas is killing me! In all I give this donkey two thumps down! Very Nice Car. Still looks new. Similar Products Used: Nissan, Madza, Toyota 4 Runner(Another useless car). |

Strength:
Solid feel, Luxurious interior, I have the black on black, its awesome! Quality sounding Bose radio. I was able to save thousands by purchasing the QX4 in Canada. The salesman at the dealership was very customer oriented. If anyone wants to save thousands of $ e-mail me and I will give you details on the Canadian purchase and dealer contact. This savings is also available on Nissan products.
Weakness:
Cheap plastic door handles look tacky for this luxury vehicle. Rear view mirror should be automatic adjusting. Frequent trips to the gas station for premium gas. This can partly be solved by locating a discount station that sells premium at regular prices. I just purchased my QX4 2 weeks ago driving it over 1200 miles to my home from the Canadian Dealer. The AWD handled the 9 inches of snow and freezing rain very well. The xenon headlights provide a lot more visability than standard headlights. There is no body lean like most other SUVS. Well constructed tight fitting doors. The leather seats are supportive during long rode trips and have many possible adjustments. Visability out the rear window is much better than other SUVs I''ve driven. Parking doesn''t seem any more difficult than a sedan. The overall size and length of the QX4 is perfect as long as you don''t intend on hauling a lot of people or large bulky items. The engine seems to have plenty of power for passing and freeway merging, its also relatively quiet with little road noise. The ride is a little bumpy when driving over rough surfaces, but this is not a luxury car! The interior look is hot! After doing a lot of research and comparisons I felt the Infiniti had the most to offer in terms of safety, quality, service, warranty and luxury for this class of SUV. So far I couldn''t be any happier with my choice. Check it out! Similar Products Used: Jeep Grand Cherokee GMC Jimmy Chevy Blazer All were vacation rental vehicles |

Strength:
Handling, quiet and comfortable.
Weakness:
I have only 1 complaint. This is the lack of leg room in the back seat. I guess there is another concern is the gas milege but what SUV gets good gas milege? We buy these vehicles because we feel safer in them driving in winter conditions in Illinois. Bought my QX4 with the premium package, power sunroof, heated seats package, two-tone paint and rear window wind deflector. The car rides like a dream. Handles well. Haven''t driven in snow yet but I''m sure that the vehicle will handle well. Comes with all the bells and whistles. Very comfortable.
