I enjoy the sun roof, smooth ride, gas milage on a 2.7 v6. Impossible with any other suv in its family, great warrenty, wonderful sound system, love the privacy of the tinted windows, and the pluss of the emergency kit. I could go on and on.
Weakness:
I will update in 6 months My dad and I previously owned a Honda and though I think very highly of this make Hyundia has come a long way. My dad would have never considered this make. After much research. Looking at ford escape, saturn vue, mitsibishi outlander, honda crv,and mazda triute .... Hyundia had everything and more for its money, value, and respect from its employees. Never pushy... I have driven this car and have had soooo many complemts. Rides great, great gas milage, sun roof an extra great power for a gls v6. I couldve never asked for more. Its a complete suv in its family of cars... Similar Products Used: I have owned a Honda civic 2000,my mom with a Honda passport 2001, dad chevy silverado 2001,brother with ford f150 supper crew 2000. This is a real show car I only take it out on nice days!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weakness:
The name Hyundai Santa Fe need i say more I might as well burned my money with this piece of crap. This is the worst car I ever bought. I was going to take it off road once but I got stuck in the gravel at the end of my drive way. If I do take it off road I'm driving it right off a cliff or maybe I should save it for my kids and give it to them for Christmas instead of buying them a big wheel. They can putt around with the good old Hyundai Santa Fe in the back yard Similar Products Used: Hot wheels |

Power (3.5L V6) Style Comfort (roomy)
Weakness:
Gas Mileage (I'm getting 19 MPG) Comfort (leather seats are too hot... go for the cloth) Electronic calendar - would do better with a compass Body roll in corners - but I guess this is normal for an SUV??? Enjoyable entry-level SUV. Definitely go for the larger (3.5L) V6 engine if you ever plan hauling passengers or do any kind of towing. For the price I paid I had a lot of extras added on. Factory powered moonroof, gold badging, etched glass, mud flaps, cab step-ups, tow hitch. So far it's been a great vehicle with only one minor defect (rust spots on the "stainless" steel door trim). You can't keep the black paint clean. Opt for the silver or gold colors. Similar Products Used: None |

paint job!! scratches easy and the bumper is peeling. I have seen several Santa Fe with peeling bumpers. Design flaw??? Gas mileage is ok I bought the Santa Fe after much research and test driving. I love most things about it. My kids complain that the seats are hard, but I don't notice it. Rides good, stereo is nice, ac is great. Similar Products Used: Sorrento, Rodeo, Sportage, Outlander |

Comfortable/quiet ride. Trim levels are outstanding for this price range. Car line/paint/wheels make for a beautiful car. 2.7 V6 supplies decent power.
Weakness:
Nothing major. Who needs a stupid calander?? Put in a compass. This is not a "serious" SUV. We liked the looks, and room. I wouldn't buy this if I intended to go off roading. Towing capacity is light, but it's all I need. It's about the same as many if not most of the SUV in this league. This car is great. It has very attractive lines, and the color choices are very nice. More importantly, it's built well, all the panels, doors, etc.. have a nice tight even fit. We have the 2.7 V6. I was afraid it would be marginally powered, but it gets up and goes just fine. I think the 4 cylinder would be a poor choice though. The standard trim levels are great, and add-ons like the moon roof are not killers (and really worth the $.) Radio sounds very good. A/C has one vent on the dash, and the second on the door to give you a little cross flow, which I like. Leg and head room is fine I'n 5ft 11, and fit in the front or rear very comfortably. Sports shifter on the automatic is fun to drive. Check this car out if you're looking at Tributes, Liberties, Forester, etc....We love it, you may not like it, but it's worth considering. Similar Products Used: First SUV I owned. We drove everything in this class when looking. Outlander was very comfortable, like this, but was grossly underpowered. None but will update as needed I have test driven this vehicle and compared it to the Honda CRV. Based on the test drive, price and warranties I decided on the Santa Fe GLS 4WD with ABS. The CRV had an odly located shifter, smaller tires, lacked a decent arm rest and had a rougher ride I will update this posting in 6 months. Similar Products Used: This is my first SUV |

Style...its a Lexus to me...nicer Roomy Smooth ride A lot of space for nicky knacks in the car..
Weakness:
Gas Mileage Pick up for a v6 its not good Paint chips too easily Costly on Gas When I first got my Hyundia, I was very pleased...still am at times. The batteries on the 2002 model will have problems after 30,000 so get it CHANGED NOW....The radio would go than the A/C..it finally wouldn't start one day so they fixed it... The gas stinks really bad...I am lucky if I get 13-15 mpg...no lie...with gas prices the way they are it really is costly...120+ a month for fuel charges...Otherwise...would look at the 2003 but I'll check the battery first...lol Similar Products Used: None |

The load out of the car (stereo cd, automatic airco, cuise control, Leather interiour, darkened rear windows, seat heating. We bought the santa fe after looking at this and the Toyota Rav4. However in terms of waranty and goods for your money the Santa fe won by a mile. For the same load-out the Rav4 costs 6000 euro's more. |
