It look nice. But so does the new Mazda.
Weakness:
Window is very very very weak. The car is unreliable. I been driving a Toyota and a Mazda for years. I decided to try out a Honda. MY MISTAKE

Excellent build quality, reliability, functionality.
Weakness:
None. This is an excellent vehicle. I don't understand those who complain about road noise or say the suspension is harsh?

I owned a 2003 Honda CRV and with a baby on the way we thought it would be in our best interest to upgrade to a 2006 model with all the new features --better airbags and better traction control. I am completely disappointed and feel like i was misled. It takes about 30 feet to stop at 15 km hour in an inch of snow! I will not drive it in anymore snow and isn't that what an SUV is for after all? The tech at honda agreed it was unsafe and that the bridgestone dueler tires must be the problem. Why should i have to replace tires that are only 5 mths old and have 7000 km on them? Should HONDA not provide tires that have some traction control since they are offering a traction stability system on their vehicles. Dont be mislead and unsafe...look elsewhere. C-RV EX
Strength:
quality, reliability, practicability, residual value
Weakness:
roadnoise Not for nothing continuously at the top of the charts. Excellent vehicle. Very European. Focus is on practicability, not on style. Good balance between crisp looks and boxyness to utilize space optimally. Not a single repair/adjustment necessary over 34,000 miles. I see one area where the Honda engineers still have some work to do: roadnoise. I like the way the door is hinged, but I also think the spare tire could be stored in that space underneath the picnic table. We really never use that space. The fact that the rear window can be opened separately is nice, however, it is not a feature that we used one single time. I guess we could do without it. Mileage is good, although it could be better if there were a few more horses available so you don't have to push the pedal so much. Overall, the engine power is excellent for a four cylinder. I have several friends with either a Ford Escape or a Toyota RAV 4; they can't keep up in acceleration and they do not get anywhere near the CR-V's mileage. Honda CRV LX
Strength:
Peppy acceleration, good transmission, good ground clearance, good visibility, and functional interior for carrying cargo.
Weakness:
See the review summary. Also, washing around the spare tire was awkward. I bought this vehicle because of the great reviews. I feel deceived. The packaging fit & finish and the drive-train are overall, excellent, but there were enough other issues with this vehicle that I got rid of it after only 7 months.

Weakness:
The A/C is faulty and should be recalled. Loved it. And then at 59,000 miles, the A/C failed. Now I see this problem is very common on 2002, 2003, 2004 models, at least. Before the problem, thinking I had the famous Honda quality, I overlooked the road noise, the wind buffeting noise if windows are open, the flimsy console. Now, it looks a little ordinary, maybe not the best buy... Similar Products Used: 1984 Accord, 1997 Accord |

CR-V EX
Strength:
Size for 5, great gas mileage for an SUV, lots of rear cargo space, very powerful A/C, and all the features.
Weakness:
The seats in this car are the hardest seats ive ever sat in, on long car tips I have to sit on a pillow because my butt begins to hurt if I sit for more than an hour. The car doesn't have enough power, it feels like the car is always straining to get up to speed. This car has the same engine that is in the Honda Accord, the CR-V weighs almost 800lbs more and thats alot of extra weight for the little 2.4 liter engine to have to pull around. Cabin materials seem cheap and outdated, and the doors sound like they are going to break if you close them to hard. This is a good car for anybody. If you don't want a tank sized, gas sucking SUV or Van, then this is the car for you. The EX comes with lots of standard features and I am pleased with the overall vehicle.
