Strength:

Its roomy for the size of the vehical. Good gas. Love the style.

Weakness:

Well for starters it has been in the shop 2xs 1. the head blew on it, 2. when they had to fix everything from the head blowing the belt squealed and the bolts were coming loose from wshere the dodge dealer ship fixed. Third of all dont let the tires get low on the tread the car runs like crap really I know if the tires get worn to get them changed but a slight wear in them can make the car run really bad that it feels like its out of alignment. Forth and final the seat s*** dont spill anything on them the dealership said the scotch gard is on the seats ya right my seats are ruined for my son spilling water on the seats and me trying to clean them they just seem to be getting worse when I try to clean them. All in all we got rid of a car that had nothing but problems and got inyo on that has more prob. My husband and I are trading it in asap cant handle the hassle anymore.

You really need to check the car out really good and make sure you get the car fax but other then that the car is cute and I think it its more for a younger person. My couisin loves it and shes in high school. It is a good car just think we got taht one on the line that got looked over and didnt get built with care.

Strength:

Room interior and the stock radio system bumps pretty good much better than my wifes 2007 lancer but thats all

Weakness:

the entire break system has been replaced 3 times before i went and replaced everything with aftermarket and high quality break parts, had to replace the valve cover gasket at only 20,000 miles on the pos for her, the car needs an alignment twice a year since the front underpinnings are not meant for a car of this size, the transmission started leaking at 10,000 miles what an expensive repair that was glad i dont own it and recently the headgasket needed to be replaced went to do an oil change and found coolant mixed with the oil, with only 45,000 miles on it this is just bad no wonder chrysler went under poor quality vehicles across the spectrum no wonder i still drive a 95 saturn that has cost me nothing in up keep heck i havent even needed to replace any gaskets yet (knock on wood) on my car avoid the pt cruiser unless you have a very disposable income for major repairs not just wear and tear.

Great roomy interior i wasnt impressed with the gas milliage or the fact that i timed to 0-60 in 12 secs very embarrasing my grandmother in law owns this car and i drive it occasionaly and help her keep up on the astronomical maitnance this car needs at only 45,000 miles on the odometer.
This car lives in florida for 6 months and were i live for 6 months she has only put on 45,000 since she bbought this car 6 years ago and it always comes back with some major repair that my car with 250,000 miles would need (i own a 95 saturn sl2 great car).

by similar i will go the 4 cylinder route 95 saturn (current car modded of course)never left me stranded i borrowed the pt for my 10 mile commute to work since my car was in pieces since i love modding it and the damn pt died on me for no reason 1 mile from were i live, luckily it was in front of the mechanics i go to for anything i cant do like the tranny that put itself in neutral since it ran out of fluid we pushed it into the bay and they gave me a ride to work in the towtruck and said they would rather crush this hunk of junk than fix it for my grandmother inlaw.

Weakness:

I rented this car. It is by far the worse vehicle I have ever rented. It gets 14mpg in the city. the steering wheel is made for a sailboat. the turning radius sucks. I can not imagine why anyone would buy this vehicle.the whole front end shaked when accelerating and it only had 24k miles on it and it was an 08.

Model Reviewed: PT Cruiser Turbo Touring Edition

Strength:

The PT Cruiser Turbo has a powerful engine yet it is economical on gas.

Weakness:

The headrests are too high and in the way if you happen to be short-waisted. Also the front bottom bumper is set too low.

My PT Cruiser loves to be driven and at high speeds, the engine hums. She has a superb (original) eight speaker stereo system, moon roof and lots of chrome. The bottom grill is set too low and will scrape on inclines but I love this car and would recommend a PT Cruiser to everyone.

This is an excellent highway car as she excels at a fairly high rate of speed. The back seat comes down which allows for transporting furniture, etc. She is also economical on gas despite the fact that she is a turbo.

If a person has to do alot of driving then a PT Cruiser is the vehicle I would recommend.

Strength:

They look nice. They have lots of room.

Weakness:

Front end, rough shifting, not a lot of power with the four cylinder.

At 46,000 miles the car developed a grinding sound in the right front wheel when the brake was applied. We had the brakes checked and the bearings checked. The mechanic replaced the brake pads and rotor because the bearing appeared to be ok. It is still grinding. The oil plug also leaks. The stuts that hold up the hatch back went out. My opinion is that it's a lemon and many of the Cruisers are lemons.

Had many mechanical problems. Brakes, Engine and Cooling System, Oil leaks, and transmission problems. I went on the internet and found out that there have been many complaint about the PT Cruiser. I wish that I had checked the reviews on this car before I had bought it. It would have saved me a lot of money and headaches.

Strength:

the looks are awesome. That is all Ican say

Weakness:

runs like crap, drives like crap.

I wasnt going to put a review in but it seems as I read through the review others have the same complaint we do. We have only had the car or only 4-5 months max and we have already had to take it in the shop for problems 2 times now. It seems that it is very sluggish on the start. It acts like it doesnt want to shift and it will go into it harshly or acts like it will quit. And we just got our oil changed last month and now it is low on oil, (not burning or leaking).
All in all, I like the shape and the look. I like the roomyness. But I just got out of a car with oil problems and engine problems with no car payment. I am not happy about getting into a car with the same thing and I am paying ALOT for. I am not at all happy with this car, and really wish they would just buy it back from me. I would rather my old car back. 1997 dodge neon ran better than this does. And personally if I could get ahold of the company, I would tell to take their peice of **** and shove it!!!

Strength:

The 2.2L CRD engine says it all. Factory spec is 150 HP, I have chip tuned to 180 HP. This engine needs to be put into US models.

Weakness:

The seats are a bit to hard for the long drives.

My PT is European Spec with the Mercedes 2.2L Turbo Diesel. I have 65,000 miles on the car and love it. I drive about 250 miles a day and my average fuel mileage is 37 MPP with an average speed of 80 MPH.

Strength:

Runs smooth and tight. Very cute..Not as loud as I expected with the top up..Very well insulated. Air conditioning works great. IPOD sounds great thru stereo.

Weakness:

Very dissapointing gas mileage. considering its not the turbo thought it would do alot better

Very Cute Car. Amazingly roomy inside. Much better than expected. Kids Love it!!
IVery much like the seats, very firm and back is able to stand straight up. I also enjoy the IPOD hookup to the stereo. It sounds so much better using the IPOD or CD player, other than that the stereo is average. So Far so good, except like the others have said the gas mileage is terrible. I also have a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country that get about the same mileage and weighs about 2 times as much.. Very dissapointing about 20-24 MPG

Strength:

Top goes up and down easily, controls on the dash, high seats

Weakness:

Front end is very very low and if your not carefull, it will scrape, so you need to be carefull going over bumps. I found this the hard way just after two weeks where I scraped the front end zipping out of my driveway too quickly causing over $600 in damages. Not covered under warrenty and I'm pissed at the dealership for not warning me about it. I filed a complaint with Chrysler, waste of time....

Sharp little car, nice and roomy for a big guy like myself. Seating lets you ride high. Decent gas mileage if your easy on the gas pedal.
