I purchased my TB on 1/2/03 brand new. On the 3rd day I noticed a squeak in the front. After one full year Chevy figured out that the hood latch was not tight. The hood of the TB could have flipped up at any time. I have taken the TB back to the dealership about 15 times in the year that I have owned it. The air did not work when I bought it, the tail lights randomly stop working, the backup lights have gone out. All of the things mentioned have completely been replaced several times. So far the dealership has not been able to figure out how to fix the electrical problems. After finding out about the problems with my TB I am noticing several driving around town with no tail lights. |

Good looks, very spacious, comfortable drive.
Weakness:
electrical malfunctions I bought the extended edition TB in May 2003 brand new. Since then I have had nothing but problems. Third row seat belt broken since bought, they fixed it, service engine light has been on since I bought it (dealer tried to blame me for pumping gas into TB while running) They turned off the service light and it returned 2 days later. Motor went out in the back passenger right side window, window fell into the door in the middle of the night, and a thunderstorm left a river of water in my truck. Took to dealer, fixed window and turned off service light, paperwork stated multi-problems detected. I assumed they fixed it, but the next day, the light returned. When you pay 32,000 for a vehicle, you hope you get atleast half of that in quality but not with this TB. Be aware! I am going to file in accordance with the Texas Lemon Law on this vehicle. Just trying to get my ducks in a row. Similar Products Used: Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Tahoe |

unreliable and unsafe I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle every since I purchased it 'brand new' on 9/30/04. I've had it at the dealer 7 times in the past 3 months, where it is sitting now. First, the paint job had blemishes all over it. The radio gets lousy reception. The license plate kept falling off because GM uses this new style "no-bolts" frame that is basically useless. Then, the real problems began. I'll just be driving along and suddenly, all the idiot lights will light up on the dash board, and all the gauges go down to zero. The power components stop working (locks, seat, mirrors, window, radio, etc), then, the car just won't start again. I've had it to the dealer's 3 times for this same problem. They thought it was the ignition switch, but that proved them wrong since they replaced it and it was still happening. I mean, I can't even take this car any major distance because I was so worried the thing is going to cut out on me. Now, the dealer is dumb-founded as to what is wrong with the vehicle, and I get to drive a Cavalier loaner car while they figure it out. (but still paying the hefty SUV payment, of course) Has anyone else experienced these problems? Please contact me!!! The rest of you - DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE! |

INTERGRATED STEREO WITH DOOR CHIMES, REMOVE RADIO, NO DOOR CHIMES I haven't had any problems with my TB. I bought mine brand new, with 11 miles. The thing is a squiking noise as I go over bumbs. I haven't had any electrical problems. I don't know what year most of you have purchased, but hopefully GM has worked out those issue with the newer model. I really like the power. I have owned only GM products(pontiac's and chevy trucks) I switched from an extreme s10, so the handling thing is different. I never drove a SUV before. It is taking some time on the getting use driving it. Similar Products Used: EXPLORER |

Quality is just one step above the Yugo. This is outrageous that GM still, after getting their hineys kicked by the Japanese quality for so long and claiming they have now closed the gap, they still are putting out junk like this? Unbelievable. No wonder they only warrant the veihicle for 36 K miles. When you don't believe your product can last longer than that I guess you wouldn't want to extend the warranty beyond that, would you? The Trailblazer looks good and is fun to drive but the quality is horrific. I have had mine for 1 year now. I bought it a year ago with the no money down, no payments for 90 days, and 0% interest rate special. Well, I guess you get what you pay for because I've had it in the shop twice already and I have under 19 K miles on it. First, the back of the vehicle has a body piece that is above the trunk and goes across the veihicle. It has the top brake light on it. Well, this complete piece fell off my vehicle. It became loose and just broke off. Yesterday, I had to take the TB in again. There was a plastic molding that came off a door, the part that helps seal the door from the outside. It just fell off. My left rear brake light just stopped working. The check engine light came on. The center console doesn't close properly now. They supposedly fixed everything but the console. The mechanic told me the console wasn't designed well and it just is hard to shut. He said he has the same problem with his TB. The only words that come to mind is "World Class Junk"! |

See summary This car is a real piece of junk..!! the problems starts 5 days after the purchase.First was the a/c, it dosen´t work when in méxico the temperature was 110°f, second was the stop ligths, third was the windy noise through the 4 doors, & finaly my trailblazer is now with the dealer because the transmision doesn´t work as normal, it work only in 1 & 2 speed, so you can get only 50 km/hr with a car of 28,000 dls.....amazing..isn´t it..!! Everything you can name I am literally in tears with the problems I have experienced with my Trailblazer. After purchasing it in August 2002 the A/C went out. After that was the headlight. Then came the brake lights constantly going out. I would just buy the bulb and replace it this went on constantly for about 7 or 8 months. Guess what neither of the brake lights work anymore. I guess I have the wonderful electrical problem everyone keep talking about. Unfortunately my warranty is now gone. |

Good looks and decent power train.
Weakness:
No center point to steering and a vehicle that wanders all of the place and requires constant correction from the driver. Have owned the vehicle for 2 years and have not had any mechanical problems in the 57,000 mile I have driven it. The vehicle is reliable but (and this is a biggie) this thing steers like a boat. By far this vehicle posesses the worst handling I have ever experineced. No center point to the steering and the vehicle travels anywhere it wants to. It requires constant adjustments especially on the freeway. If you take your hand off of the numb steering wheel this thing will wander like a Beagle that just smelled a rabbit (usually to the right). Chevrolet has designed a good looking vehicle with a decent power train but the poor handling ,vague steering, no center point to the steering and non existant of the road makes this another looser in the long line of GM products. Quality control, quality workmanship, price for a piece of junk. This is a piece of junk. With 40,000kms on the vehicle I have replaced the rear-end, axles, differential, etc. As well I have had it in 3-times for a front-end problem...Loud squeaking when front suspension is engaged. They cannot locate the problem??? All four doors were improperly aligned from the factory and were very noisy at highway speeds...weather stripping seal on all four doors was installed poorly and had to be fixed. The rear wiper does not not clean well and will not seat properly when off. Recall for the dash instruments shutting down. Quality control is horrible...I will be attempting to have GM buy back this piece of junk but am not hold my breath. Similar Products Used: Jeep Grand Cherokee |
