Tahoe LT 4X4
Strength:
Power, very compfortable, towing ability, fuel milage(20 mpg), looks, dependability, interior design and roominess
Weakness:
I only own one. I have always been a Ford man, but we decided to buy the Tahoe. Best investment we have made in a vehicle. It tows our camper better than the Ford. I cannot say one bad thing about the Tahoe. If the engine or tranny goes out, I will replace them, if the body rusts off, I will buy another Tahoe. Similar Products Used: Ford and Dodge vehicles |

Strength:
Power, ride and comfort. Most of the weaknesses of my 95 Tahoe have been fixed.
Weakness:
Gas mileage, but I'm not surprised.Last 2 trucks got 10-12 MPG. Great Truck so far. Lots of power. Handy controls on steering wheel for radio, etc. I take it to the river every 2-3 weeks with boat it tow. Handles like a dream. Have a 95 Tahoe 4WD gutless dog with 86k on it that is a piece of junk. still looking to sell, but not to my friends. Similar Products Used: 1995 Tahoe, 1995 Silverado. |

No room, handled like a tank, gass guzzler, blind spots everywhere, oversized vehicle with no purpose This was the worst vehicle I've ever owned. THe second worst vehicle I owned was a Chevy BLazer!!! Notice the trend??? First off - the sales folks used high pressure tactics. Rather than give us additional incentices, we were given a "free" season pass to a ski area over 4 hours away - what a waste!!! Once we had an opportunity to drive it for more than a few mintues we realized the thing handled like a water buffalo. There were blind spots everywhere. About the only place you could see was straight forward. Talk about an accident wating to happen. Combine the blindness with the excessive bulk and you knew it was a matter of time before you hit something. We were going on a trip and put the 3rd row seats in. A small child could sit in the back - barely - as there was NO LEGROOM. With the 3rd row seats in, there was no place but the roof to put the baggage - pathetic given the size of the vehicle. Add to that the prodigious gas guzzling nature of this beast - talk about overconsumption!!!! We got rid of it within a month. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Similar Products Used: Chevy Blazer |

Chevy Tahoe LT
Strength:
strong V8/Comfortable ride/Spaceous Cabin/looks muscular (IMHO)/better gas mileage than sequoia or ford expedition
Weakness:
they say Gas consumption...you should'nt be looking at full size SUVs if you worry about that kind of stuff. I bought this new 2003 Tahoe LT just this weekend. I would have to say that this is by far the best SUV i had. I currently own the 2002 explorer XLT and test drove a new expedition also. The Tahoe outperforms both although i still love my explorer that's why i'm keeping it. I traded in my 02 grand cherokee laredo for this tahoe. I'm glad i have the LT instead of the LS although i'm sure that would be a good buy also. I like the leather seats on the LT and so is the power that goes with it. I did'nt get the Z71 because i dont have any use of the 4x4 offroad package that it comes with. I will certainly not used this rig offroading anyway. For me it's an ideal cruiser for the family 'with an attitude. If you can afford this vehicle and your currently looking for an SUV, you definitely need to look at the chevy tahoe. Consumer report rated it as the best buy. Sure you can have the other 'recommended' SUVs like the sequoia's and expeditions, but if you're investing on the right SUV...then tahoe is for you Similar Products Used: Ford Expedition/Toyota Sequoia/Grand Cherokee/Ford Explorer |

THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!, Cheap Emergency brake!!! Window motors, alarm system, master board for anti lock brakes, rear cargo doors blind spot down the middle,Transmission, poor warranty! If they are so good why not warranty them with 7 year 100,000 mile? From The first day the problems started, Most of them being Electrical! The first 4 months I owned it, It was in the shop more than I had it in my possession. It started with the alarm system not disarming, then the Air Bag Light, Then the Radio, back to the air bag lights, then the rear window motors went out 3 times! and on, and on and on. Today, after advertising it for sale for 3 months in San Diego, Palm Springs and Las vegas, No One wanted it! Until I had to lower the price to $18,000 TO GET RID OF THE PEICE OF S--T!. 1/2 of what I payed for it! TOTAL RIP OFF! Tomorrow the new owner takes possession, thank god, but right down to the last minute the problems continued,,,,now it's the Emergency disc brake broke and makes noise, today the ABS light came on, the break people said thats it's the main circuit board for the anti lock brakes a $400.00 tickt item and then the Traction Assist light came on and stayed on,,,,,So Just to get rid of it, I had to to cut the wire to the traction assist light, unplug the motor for the anti-lock brakes to stop the noise from the pump. I wonder what I will wake up to tomorrow? The engine falling out? Maybe a car fire, that would be nice!!!!! It is such a lousy suv, the dealer I got it from would have nothing to do with it! Support American Products? Never again!!!! Back to The GOOD Jap Trucks for me! Chevy will never see another dime from this family after this....Sold As Is with only 55,000 pampered miles Similar Products Used: Isuzu Rodeo x2 {the best} Jeep Grand Cherokee x3 {another bad one} Ford Escape {staller,,should recall all} Saturn Vue Jeep Cherokee {great before crysler got em |
