Strength:

Rides like a cloud, shifting points, rear end ratio selection, traction control, AC / heater quickness, overall ergonomics of things, towing RPM range.

Weakness:

Gas guzzler - burns way more than posted - lucky to get 13.5 mpg when in town, when towing and it strains, it likes to dabble in and out of the passing gear too often. Service is priced way too high. Might as well buy an import. I like to think I'm paying for knowledge when service is expensive - like BMW, but the plugs I saw working at the Chevy dealership should not have a right to charge such high rates.

Great vehicle and bang for your buck.

Strength:

heat up and air condition work quickly, makes extreamly tight turns (so good turning ratio), pulls a 4 horse trailer, backup camara helps hitch up less than 5 min, sound system is amazzing ( im 22 and still blast the music), looks beautiful (i have a white one), smooth ride, shocks are great, but it kinda depends on which model/ accesories you decide to buy, mine is fully loaded lol

Weakness:

drinks gas, but hey thats what your gonna get if you buy a big SUV.

im incredibly happy, if your looking at an SUV id defintly go to the tahoe, escalade, or Yukon. (there all pretty much the same) before i would go to fords expedition. these trucks are defitly better looking, and the gas milage is about the same. Also the tahoe is great to take on trips, you acctually use alot less gas.

Strength:

SUPER STRONG MOTOR FOR PASSING, ENTERING TRAFFIC AND TOWING. GREAT MPG FOR A BIG SUV, 22MPG LONG TRIPS AND 17 AROUND TOWN. GREAT INTERIOR, GREAT STOCK SOUND SYSTEM, GREAT RIDE AND VERY QUIET.

Weakness:

NONE, THIS IS A SAFE AND DEPENDABLE FAMILY SUV!

THIS IS THE BEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I BOUGHT IT NEW IN FEB 2001 AND HAVE NOT TOUCHED IT EXCEPT FOR A BATTERY AND SERPENTINE BELT. I HAVE OVER 94000 MILES NOW AND THE BRAKES STILL HAVE A LOT OF LIFE LEFT. I HAVE ONLY REPLACED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS, ALL THE REST OF THE STOCK BULBS STILL WORK, AMAZING! I SWITCHED ALL FLUIDS TO ROYAL PURPLE, MOTOR AT 3000 MILES, TRANS AND REAR END AT 46000. I HAVE RUN ROYAL PURPLE SINCE THE FIRST OIL CHANGE AND THE MOTOR DOESN'T USE ANY OIL FOR 8000-9000 MILES, I KNOW BECAUSE THAT IS HOW LONG MY OIL CHANGE INTERVALS ARE. I AM STILL IMPRESSED WITH HOW AGILE AND EASE OF DRIVING THIS FULL SIZE SUV HAS IN DAILY DRIVING. I DO SAY THAT ANOTHER WELL WORTH INVESTMENT WAS THE AFTERMARKET TV/DVD.

Strength:

We love the room and seating, with the rear row, easy to seperate fueding siblings. Power is great and after driving my 00 Pathfinder with the 3.3 l engine, fuel economy (for large suv) is pretty good. Turning radius is great for this big truck.

Weakness:

Our heated seats were turning themselves on, $500 to fix. Worried that there's an electrical short somewhere that is draining my battery. Wish the rear row seats folded flat. Rear wiper is almost useless.

We bought this truck when we realized our pathfinder wasn't going to fit 2 kid seats and our little girl. We didn't buy a big suv with gas mileage as a major concern. Room was our biggest concern with 3 kids and 2 large dogs. Shortly after we bought it, we went on a trip which is about 1000+ miles. Not only were we incredibly happy with the size and comfort, the big surprise came when we tallied up the cost our fuel. It cost the exact same amount as it did to make the same trip in our Pathfinder, with one less kid and all the stuff that goes with a baby. Enough room, losts of power to haul our family. The price is canadian dollars

Strength:

XM radio, silence while on the road, power, smooth ride, speaker system. Feels like a solid, safe vehicle to drive. Braking is right now.

Weakness:

Not enough cubby holes for hiding stuff.

Love my Tahoe! Roomy, love the XM radio, remote start is convenient, auto lift tailgate is awesome when grocery shopping. Upgraded to the Tahoe from a CRV, bought it for the ride and the luxuries offered. Gas mileage is getting better as I put miles on. Driver seat is cozy and comfy, embracing. Steering is amazing. Turns on a dime. Power galore. V8 to V4 without flaw. Wireless headphones are fun when sporting around passengers.

Looks great, great features

Weakness:

quality is horrible. for what they charge chevy should rethink how they handle quality control.

Bought in Feb 06. have 2007 Fully loaded all the bells and whistles imaginable. After driving of the lot on our long ride home to Minnesota we noticed the steering wheel controls (cruise, radio, etc) didn't work at all. after getting fixed my windshield cracked had to get replaced. Then my check engine light came on a bad switch, then my radio was going in and out something electrical now my rear moldings are coming off my windows that is getting brought in today. other than that beautiful truck

Strength:

Long wearing brakes and stopping, excellent power, very good ride, quiet, good visibility, comfort, room. Good on long trips. 17-22 mpg

Weakness:

Luggage rack hard to tie anything down. it too low to roof, hard to get rope through bars.

This is the second Tahoe I have owned the last one was a 98 couldn't keep brakes more then 25k it had so much power it was kind of scary. Over all I liked it. I sold it with 82k and bought a new 2002. It has a much better ride they improved the brakes, I have not replaced them yet and I have 68,000.It rides very good and quiet, I especially like the auto leveling. The motor has lots of power a smaller engine then my other tahoe but gets the same milage. Go figure? I have 78,000 and the first major problem, the ABS went bad, labor and materials $950. The only other was a rattle in the steering column that could be felt on the steering wheel. This is a common problem with this year Tahoe, it's a cheap fix thought, there is a slip spline in the UV joint of the steering shaft in the engine compartment. Grease it and the problem goes away. This has been a great car for me outside of the ABS. I would buy another one.

Strength:

Good visual qualities, smooth ride, E85 compatable, GPS navigation system for navigating, better leather than in previous models

Weakness:

The paint on the tahoe is not durable, it scratches very easily and dents very easily. Being careful not to hit the liftgate when opening it in the garage is difficult. Takes a while to cool using A/C. automatic rear seat release is useless.

The new Tahoe rides very smooth. Rack and Pinion stearing makes turning a breeze. GPS Navigation system w/ intergrated radio and rear back up camera add to safety and entertainment. Rear seat DVD entertainment center keeps kids occupied. Equiped with rear ultra-sonic back up sensors and rear power liftgate. Power liftgate is one of the best features of the Tahoe (really helps at the store). Bose surround sound system creates terrific sound quality. Very comfortable and smooth.
