Strength:
good in 4 wheel drive/bad weather
Weakness:
Interior noise is very bad. Shakes and rattles all the time. Has been an alright suv. Now after 10 years we are having problems with the transmission. Have had the 4 wheel drive motor replaced once. Other small problems. It has a very noisey interior. I would not buy another blazer. This is our 3rd and last blazer.

LS/2 door/ 4x4
Strength:
Room, even in the 2-door model; comfort; reliability
Weakness:
rear-mounted spare tire gets tedious to open every time you put something in the back, parking brake used to stick (fixed now) I LOVE my Blazer. It is extremely reliable, sure-footed and fun to drive. Mileage not great, but to be expected for an SUV, especially a 4-wheel drive. I haul our boat with it, great as a tow vehicle. It is roomy and comfortable. I have the motorized seat adjustment. I thought that was over-the-top when I bought Blazer 5+ years ago, but it makes it an exact for the driver. No major problems, strong engine, ample cargo room, easy hauling and smooth ride. Perfect for a single person or couple who likes to road trip and camp.
Weakness:
Little things: hatch back, flex fuel line, power window on R. side went out. All in all not bad, with preventitive maintence and repairs I have spent less then 2k I've had my Blazer since 03, it's been a great lil SUV. Similar Products Used: 1992 Chevy S-10; 02 Nissan Frontier |

Cadalidic converter was messed up
To be honest the only thing that it was good for was hauling friends around and hauling stuff when we moved. Other then that it was a piece of JUNK! |

Blazer
Strength:
everything
Weakness:
none Purchased at 164,000 and now it has 301,000 plus and still going strong. I love my 89 Blazer. It pulls my two horse trailer carrying one horse great. A little slow going up a steep hill and that is to be expected. Other than that it has been a great vehicle. Did rebuild the transmission a few years ago. I'm getting ready to purchase a 98 LS Blazer with 47,000. I'm reading all the reviews I can find on the web. It's a real mixed bag. I am counting on this next Blazer to be a charm like my 89. 4 dr. LS
Strength:
Torquey engine, refined ride and handling, cool storage compartments, lumbar support
Weakness:
See above! Reliability, reliability, reliability! This was definitely a love/ hate relationship. I loved the ride, the seating position and comfort, the torquey power from the 4.3 V6, and *in particular* the lumbar support. That was the first time I owned a vehicle with that feature. Great to relax the lower back after a stressful day at work.

Chevy Blazer ZR2
Strength:
4X4 in the snow is great! almost Always started! Comfy seats.
Weakness:
Integrity of the parts and things broke very often. Tires are expensive for this vechile. Gas milage very poor. This SUV and I had a love relationship that after 2 years turned to love hate. I still loved the vechile but began to hate all the work it needed starting at about 50,000. That doesn't seem like many miles for a car to start falling apart. I finally sold it at 70,000 miles because of the laundry list of work it needed. It is a great SUV to drive and awesome in the snow but, not good enough to keep with all the problems it had:
