Strength:
Navigation System, 3rd row seat
Weakness:
3rd row seats are too small for adults Overall, this SUV is excellent. When compared to other SUV''s like BMW''s X5 or Mercedes'' ML320, it is so much better than them and on average costs 5000-10000 less. Similar Products Used: Montero, RX3000 |

Strength:
Good gas milage, good room, NAVIGATION SYSTEM, honda quality, Much cheper comparable in price to other inferior SUVs (X5, ML320, RX300)
Weakness:
Sluggish steering, cant use regular gas So far I am very impressed with this car. It handles well on the road, and very capable offroad. It has seating for 7 and feels very luxurious. It also has excellent mileage. Very comfortble on the highway. The navigation sistem is one of the best in the industry. It is by far one of the best deal. Overall, a best bang for the bucks Similar Products Used: Montero SR, Lexus LS400 |

Strength:
Tons of room, especially with 3rd row down. Gread 3rd row seat design (fold out of sight rather than pull out). Great engine with lots of pickup, nice feel, and sounds great. Solid, smooth ride.
Weakness:
More road noise that I expected, especially exaggerated by how quiet the car is otherwise. Small nicks on front door posts apparently from letting seat belt buckle fly. Still amazes me how much room is inside yet the MDX looks so sleek and compact outside. This was the main reason I bought the MDX - the combination of size yet good looks. It has as much room as friends'' Expeditions and Tahoes, but doesn''t look like a tank. The 3rd row seats are great, especially because they fold out of sight when I don''t need them. The fold up/pull out 3rd row seats I''ve seen in Land Cruisers are clunky monsters in comparison. I love the engine, ride, and handling. It feels down right sporty for such an SUV. I''m a little disappointed with the level of road noise, though my friends tell me I''m just too obsessed with it since I always complained about how noisy my old Jeep Grand Cherokee was. The MDX is so solid and smooth, its super quiet when the road''s smooth. It might be just that the road noise has no other noises to compete with, and just seems louder. My other nit is some small nicks on the front door posts that apparently happen if I let the seat belt buckle fly loose. I''ve never been careful about letting the belt fly in other cars and I''ve never seen these nicks on any other vehicle. The dealer told me a good aftermarket vinyl guy could clean it up. I was disappointed to hear this about a 1 month old premium vehicle. Overall, the MDX is a great value. Given the choice to pick my own options, I wouldn''t have demanded many of the standard features on the MDX - 4WD, leather, moon roof, heated seats. I wasn''t particularly looking for a premium vehicle. But given what''s included, the MDX actually lists for less than a comparably loaded 4Runner, Tahoe, most every other mid to large SUV. Really a great all around vehicle. Now my wife wants one! Similar Products Used: Jeep Grand Cherokee (owned one), Land Cruiser, Lexus LX470, Toyota HighLander |

Strength:
Drives just like a car; corners hard, good acceloration. Very well equipped as a base model. 3rd row that can actually be used - and lots of cargo space with it down. Much quieter than the 2001''s I think and no weeping mirrors. Gas mileage. Best value in its class, by far. Really turns heads.
Weakness:
Should have body side moulding std. Nav option too expensive. Roof rack design limits usefulness. Really turns heads. I have been delighted with the car. Similar Products Used: Highlander, Explorer, Durango, 4Runner, Oddysey, Sienna |

Strength:
Highest safety ratings. Very large interior compared to exterior. Fast, powerful, great handling, ultra smooth shifting. VTM-4 (four wheel drive with locking rear dif.) A lot of vehicle for the money. Quiet and comfortable. Second row seating very spacious, lots of knee room. Fold flat third row seats. (you never have to take it out or put it in)
Weakness:
Ease of access to third seat. This vehicle is outstanding. It is big enough to haul people and their gear while keeping them comfortable. It is fun to drive and easy to park. After 14+ months there are no problems. Similar Products Used: Jeep CJ-7 Ford Expedition |

Strength:
Great suspension, great A/C and Heat system for cool down time. Easy to drive, especially in heavy rain, poor road conditions, construction, etc.
Weakness:
Fuel economy not what advertised. We always got over factory sticker MPG in other cars, and we get UNDER sticker by 4 MPG until I replaced air filter with K&N. Now we only get under around town and factory sticker on highway. Dealer says there is no problem, but parking lot information exchange with other MDX owners report similar experience. South Florida problem? Heat? Also, was speed bump klunking problem, but there is a factory fix for this and is fine now. Road/Wind noise better than my 98 Jeep GC, but worse than Lexus, MB, BMW, Durango. Rear A/C control manual/auto setting should not reset when you stop/start car All four windows should be auto up/down Many parts feel/look same as Honda Civic, and feel out of place in such a nice vehicle. My vehicle hesitates when cold as if running lean, feels like misfiring, though dealer computer says ''no problems''. Hard to duplicate to show dealer, but people who have borrow car have mentioned it also. Rare when warm, and I haven''t been able to confirm anything like this with any other MDX owners yet. We have 10,000 miles on the car, driven from Miami to NYC and back. Very easy to drive, little driver fatigue on long trips. Overall satifaction, but a few problems with sticker vs real fuel economy, and some hesitation problems. Too lean for super emissions? With aftermarket air filter we get 15mpg in town, 22-24mpg highway depending on speed. Similar Products Used: Durango, outback, jeep grand cherokee Tested: ML320, LX430, X5, Denali |

Not enough accessories to play around with.. but then again, not a civic.. Great car, easier to drive then my old altima.. which was amazing.. Hard to find one at the right price without waitting. Lots power and since the noise problem have been fixed in the 2002 model.. can''t find anything wrong yet.1 Similar Products Used: Jeep, librity, rav4, RX300...l |
