pure power, 220 horses with the k&n filter plus housing, nothing seems to bring this down, all those weak civic inline 4''s, this car blows the doors off, this is a bottom end car so speed will pick up after you gun it

U guyz have no idea i street race and have taken on just about anything you can imagine, i have over 100 races and i have only lost twice. once to a highly modded viper and once two a 1200hp Supra modded for track racing.

The toyota supra is an awsome car with its 320 horsepower 3liter in line 6 its an amazingly easy tuneable car capable of handleing over 1000 hp! the 2jzgte is abullet proof powerful monster even with the mods it drives like a lexus until u stomp on it then...boom rpm''s go crazy and before you know it your doing 140-180 w/mods its fast without mods too with acceleration from 0-60 in 4-5 secondsis porsche caliber performance with great gas milage .

I see all these people saying that a stock Supra can''t beat a mustang. IS that a joke? I have had my Supra for 3 months and put very little into it ( planning to upgrade turbos and intake exaust....) I Pulled up to a 97 mustang SVT and smoked it, no contest. This car is great absolutlely love it.

Plenty of power. Corners like on rails. Above 3000rpm it really takes off.

I think it was rated 0-60 at 8 seconds. But it wasn''t intended to be a rocket off the line. Above 3000rpm it the engine really comes alive. Factory stereos always sucked in Supras. No place to mount speakers in the doors. Rear hatch had leaks. That was common. Easy fixed with weather stripping. Not worth rebuilding the engine. TOOOO expensive.

I bought this car in 1990 from some lady down the street. She gave it away for $4000. It was then 6 years old, only had 50k miles. It now has 218,000 miles. Had the head gasket done once a long time ago. It now leaks power stiring fluid out of a hose. Too lazy to fix. Just fill it up when needed. Leaks oil from the rear tranny seal. I check it once a month. I never realized why this car corners so well and handles so well. The suspension was designed by Lotus. Read that atSupra.com a few years back. Still looks good. I would like to get a new car. The only car, sedan that handles like it is a Maxima SE. I keep looking for a 91 Supra. But all have been beat to death and very high milage. I might just see if my old Supra will make it to 300k. As long as it keeps passing smog maybe. Dont ever put in alternator other than Toyota. I did once from Kragen or Pep Boys. Went through 6 with lifetime warranties. I could drop them in 10 minutes and install in 20. Got tired and got a Toyota from the dealor. Still working great. At least once a month somebody comes up wanting to buy it. Maybe someday..not now. It just wont die.

Ok, people make Supras out to be beasts that have lots of stuff wrong. You know why? BECAUSE THEY DRIVE THEM WRONG! They drive Supras like they''re commute cars. They''re not. They''re performance coups not used for driveing long distances, day after day. Especially the turbos. Did you know turbos need to be warmed up and cooled down or else you''re going to screw them up? No? well now you do. Now that that''s outta the way, here''s someone that actually knows about Supras. They are great cars and if you play your cards right can get 600+ hp. The only problem is you can only find them these days with 100,000''s of miles because dumb people DRIVE THEM TO DEATH. I got mine with 170,000 miles, only 13,000 on a new motor though. I had to replace the turbo, re-nitrate the crankshaft, rods, and pistons, and turbo piping. But hey, that''s what you get when you buy your car from someone that doesn''t know all the intricacies of the performance sedan. So to sum it up: If you''re a middle aged man looking for a "cool" sports car to drive around and show your friends, don''t get a Supra. If you have a good knowledge of cars and an appreciation for high performance vehicles, by all means get it
