Strength:

Amazingly powerfull. Will toast Ferraris with only a few thousand in mods.
Handels 170+mph speeds with ease. Good Aftermarket. Good power stock. Stock turbos will hold 20+ psi. Stock block can take 800 fly wheel hp before it gives up. Maybe even more

Weakness:

Not really a weakness to be found, maybe that it holds its value for so long, thats a weakness to the buyer. Head gaskets tend to blow.

A amazing car for the money. Expect to pay 20-25k for a 93-94 and 2+k for each year newer. If you can find one for sale, you must buy it that day. Most people look for many months before finding one on sale that meets their standards. If your going to modify it go with the 6-speed. The auto will hold 450 rwhp without a uprgrade to the converter. Either way its a extremly fast car. Only car that has similar straight line performance is the Buick Grand National, but the GN will fall behind at the first turn.

Strength:

Speed, handling, brakes, sound, speed. Easily mod'ed to 500hp+.. BPU (basic performance upgrades) Supras put out 375-410RWHP with around $1500 worth of mods.. that's up to 470bhp.. Great looks, gets TONS of stares and compliments wherever I go.

Weakness:

Back seat is hardly usable but that doesn't concern me. Only flaw in mine was the hatch rattle.. quite common and easily fixed with a little duct tape. Consumes plenty of gas but is a small price to pay for the performance

Paid $27k for 33k miles.. highly recommended.

Infiniti Q45, too different to compare.. 94 Rx7, Rx7 felt a lot lighter and more nimble, but less solid and forgiving..

Strength:

I love this car. I paid a premium price because they are sooo hard to find.
This car hauls a**. It is comfortable and turns heads. I get many compliments on it. It is fast, comfortable and for a turbo-reliable.

Weakness:

Expect to shell out about $3000.00 a year in maintenance. Parts are expensive and if you do not take it to a toyota master mechanic-your crazy.

I paid 11,ooo thousand for it (U.S.) and had to put a head gasket on it.
Other than that, it was perfect. Don't buy one if your not willing to shell out big bucks for the maintenance. I can't stand to hear people whine about it. This is the only car I have that I enjoy driving everyday. Even after four years and about $6,000-7,000 thousand in maintenance, I consider the car the best value on the market today.
If you can find one- buy it. Have a toyota mechanic check it out before you buy it. I could sell it for more than I paid for it right now. How many cars could you do that with?

Strength:

Very sporty looking for an 80s' car. Nice interior, very well-built and dependable. Strong acceleration and handeling, fairly smooth and forgiving ride.

Weakness:

The car wieghs way too much, repairs are very expensive unless you know how to do them yourself. Crowded engine compartment that is a pain to work on.Tires are an odd size and are very expensive.

Paid $3000 for it in 98' with 140k. Definately worth the money. It is a car that you don't see on the road too often, and people have mistaken my car for a mid-90s' model due to the advanced design for it's time and the fact that it runs great(180000k!) Have a reputable mechanic check it out before you buy one. It is a great car if your looking for performance at a reasonable price!

Strength:

Power on demand, brakes are amazing, relatively quite (depending upon tire selection), reliability, and easily upgradable to even more power in the twin turbo model.

Weakness:

Gas mileage (mine about 16), but its worth it, tire cost (but all sports cars eat expensive tires). I can't really think of any others.

Without a doubt the finest japenese sports car. Speed, agility, fantastic brakes and looks to boot!

terrifying power. i've beaten vtech integ, 300zx, camaros, 99 prelude, etc in friendly races. this thing is so strong everytime i back up the car i burn rubber LOL. it has that bmw feel, definitely not the car for people who crave a smooth and boring ride

Weakness:

head gasket, targar top might allow rain drops to leak in but this is very minimal.

i have driven LOTS of sports cars and i have to say this supra is the most fun to drive. i've owned it for almost a year and i STILL have a lot of fun driving it now. I luv the removable hard top. I also luv the dual suspension when i switch to sports i can take on any curve at really high speed. I was once chased by two cops becuz i was doing 140+ MPH. the cops told me they had a hard time chasing me LOL. OVerall, get this car. I only like 3 cars: supra turbo, 300ZX , and the corvette. No t-top, n

Strength:

Amazing acceleration and the twin turbo sound just like the jet engine. Good braking power and the six speed manual gear box is a beauty.

Weakness:

Bumpy suspension and very noisy inside the cabin. Tend to have both understeer and oversteer when attempting corner at a high speed. Heavy fuel consumption.

Is quite expensive in Malaysia because of the high import tax. I will buy a Nisan Skyline twin turbo when I have the money.

Strength:

Sharp looks for it's age. Similar to the ol' Ferrari Daytona. Incredible dependability. Sporty drive.

Weakness:

They tend to rust alot, like most japanese cars of this era.

I paid $700 four years ago. I think the kid I bought it from thought it had serious electrical problems, but I replaced the alternator, and it has performed flawlessly since. Mine has very little rust, although the paint is very oxidized along the top of the car. The 2.8 liter straight six is so smooth and very torquey. Has very decent power for a small car such as this (120 hp, 150 lb-ft torque for a car that is only six inches longer than the celica). I have done a lot of tinkering due to the fact that this car is simple enough for me to work on. Replaced rear shocks, front strut cartridges and it drives unbelieveably smooth. Has power windows and locks, both of which still operate. Automatic climate control still works. The only thing that does not still work is the low fuel light! This car has nearly 184,000 miles and still makes me smile every time I drive it. It has made mine a Toyota family. I don't know if I will ever own anything but Toyotas. Even though it's a sporty grand-tourer, it still has enough ground clearance to perform surprisingly well off-road. I think I'll cry if I ever sell it.

Strength:

Great Power and Power potential. Very powerful motor. Very strong built body. Comfortable. Long slender look is one of a kind. One of a kind cars that not many people have. This is simply a great car. I think the MKIII era of the Supra was the best year except for the engines.

Weakness:

The 7M-GE and 7M-GTE blow headgaskets very easily. They are a pain in the ass to repair. Parts are insainly expensive. Aftermarket performance parts (HKS,Greddy, TRD) even more expensive. Engines are very cramped and very hard to work on. If you want to spend the time and money this is a great buy. If you don't want to spend the money then buy a Civic or Integra and join the Rice Rocket crowd.

I paid $8000 because it only had 50,000 miles on the engine. I spent almost $2000 for the headgasket. Again with time and money this car can be a real Japanese Super car. Better than the integras and civics out there. The motors can be pumped up with aftermarket performance parts. Be careful! With these parts the 7M-GTE will gain tremendous power. Keep it mild if you can't handle it. A stock internal 7M-GTE can handle 500 HP. Anything else your gonna need a high performance engine rebuild. Supras are great you just have to be very forgiving witht the money you spend.
