Dude, a '94and up VR-4 will smoke you cuz they do the 60 in less than 5 seconds, so don't run your mouth off when apparently you don't jack diddly. Of course you'll beat any other model, but you will never feel a VR-4, sorry~ O yea, and I'm not some crazy import enthusiast sayin imports are better than domestics. I'm just givin it to you straight: you're a dumass :)

Strength:

Great traction, acceleration, looks, overall performance. CHICKS LOVE IT!!LOL.

Weakness:

Heavy, tends to be nose heavy in the rain and high speed/sharp corners.Sucks some gas but hell its a high performance sports car!!

This car is awesome!! Ive been reading other reveiws on this car, one guy said you cant burn out with the VR-4. This proves he cant drive for sh!t. I have video of this car spinning the tightest forward & reverse donuts ever. The frontend sometimes pushes in the rain, but all you have to do is let off the throttle slighty and punch it again and the back will whip around and off you go. Ive smoked almost everything out there:supra, camaros ,5.0 and cops (no chance). If have the money don't spend it on anything else!! These are the best cars for the street out there. You'll never regret owning one.

Strength:

After a couple mods the engine sounds awesome. One of the best looking cars on the road. Handling definetly. Easy to do custom exaust. Braking.

Weakness:

Be careful not to puncture your dash! Also my interior door panels have air bubles. Weak rear sway bar.

One of the nicest looking cars on the road. Here in Iowa you rarely see a GTO so my car is a real looker, but then again it probably is everywhere else. I was kind of disapointed in the acceleration after I got beat by a 1988 Ford tempo. I fixed that with some aftermarket mods though. Overall I really love this car and it runs like a beast!

Heavy but can easily be made light through aftermarket.

The car is excellent, it has always been a dream car for me. It is super fast for it not being a Twin Turbo. Has excellent handling. And is a beuty to look at.

Looks, handling, power, and cool extra gadgets is almost like being inside the bat mobile!

Weakness:

just the weith, but with 400hp! and almost the same in torque what is weith anyway!

You climb into the driver’s seat not knowing what you are about to experience... The cockpit seems more like that of a fighter jet than that of a sports car. With the engine idling, there is little more than a soft, baritone rumble coming from the four chromed exhaust pipes. Revving the engine gives you the feeling of ultimate power. Ease the shifter into first gear and the six-speed transmission responds with reassuring precision. Press down on the accelerator and experience total exhilaration. Both intercooled turbochargers emit a shrill hiss, and 32O horsepower pours into the full-time all-wheel-drive system. Enormous 18-inch alloy wheels and 245/40 Z-rated tires dig into the pavement, the suspension tenses, and the 3OOOGT VR-4 launches off the line. Sweep into the first turn, and the same-phase four-wheel steering generates breathtaking stability. The steering wheel is alive with information about the road. Your confidence soars. Your heart pounds. You can feel the intense power of which you are in control. Accelerate out of the turn and all wheel drive with two limited-slip differentials creates unyielding traction. You power out of the corner with riveting control. The car appears to be riding on rails. On the open highway, the Active Aero system automatically adjusts the front air dam and rear spoiler, leveraging the wind for even more stability - without increasing aerodynamic drag. Electronically controlled shock absorbers immediately adapt to changing conditions. At cruising speed, you pull the shifter back into sixth gear. Before you know it, you're flying thru the atmosphere at 172mph! The engine settles down into an easy rhythm, the suspension relaxes, and the 3OOOGT VR-4 seems to become a form of transportation that NASA has overlooked... I am fortunate enough to experience this thrill every day! (The only difference is my baby has almost 400hp now after only a few mods)

Strength:

easy to make a lot of power, great handling, looks sweet as fresh apple pie.

Weakness:

wieght is an issue for a stock gt but after a cold ainr intake and a chip and a few other mods it doesnt matter what the other guy or gal has they are toast

i have a 97 3000 gt vr 4 and i was very fortunate to get it from a friend who didnt want it anymore becuase they were getting and nsx. big mistake i told him. this is because of the amount of time finding parts and money invested in it. it produced just under a grand worth of horse and beat almost anything i went against except my 71 chevelle ss and 65 gto drag cars. its fast and has great handling. no other import that pulled next to me including my friends nsx stood a chance. in short awsome ride, looks tight, and the girls like.

Strength:

Great handling, tough engine (my stealth has 123,000 miles and my 3000GT has 96,000 miles) and they both still go strong. The acceleration is very nice...about a 4 second 0-60 which is respectible. I love these cars

Weakness:

if anything...the weight...but with the torque...it's not that much of a problem...it becomes extra traction (these things weigh no more than a mustang)

I got my Stealth in March of 2001, and I've loved it ever since. I recently picked up a 3000GT SL, and it just renewed my faith. Yeah it's not a VR-4, but it still has mad pick up, sweet looks and awesome handling. If you know how to really drive a stick shift this car will get up to speed in no time.

Strength:

what can you say to 222 ponies in that engine compartment coupled with the 205 torque? fast, great acceleration, babe magnet, handles like a dream, and the modifications are endless! I just can't wait to get the VR-4!!

Weakness:

heavy, but can be fixed with aftermaket items, and costly repairs only because I still can't find a mechanic, besides the dealership, who isn't a complete moron and knows how to work on GTOs (3000GTs)

Overall, this car is HOT!! Great craftsmanship and a head turner for sure! I bought it with a transmision problem and a damaged front axle. Repairs are a little costly, but what isnt on any sports car. Handeling is superb and drivability is awesome. If you don't think so, then you obviously can't drive a sports car at all. Acceleration is great once you goto a carbon fiber hood, and other after market goods that lower the weight of this vehicle. I have kept it N/A so far and still can beat the majority sports cars off the line, save for the farrari last week, but the GTOs (3000GT) are by far less expensive in price range than any other sports car of its class. This is a car that needs some tender lovin' care. I always keep it well maintained and haven't had any problems since the intitial repairs when I bought the vehicle, and have done very few modifications (under the $5000 but 2300 of that was modifying the bumpers and the side panels) And this is a two seater reguardless of what they say, unless the passangers in the back have no legs! Good advice: take out the back seats to lighten up the car. One or two huge bazookas (speakers) weigh less ;) Basically this is a beautiful and afforable car that is VERY FUN to drive!!

Strength:

the four wheel drive is good for drag racing and it has great handling.

Weakness:

its a little heavy

although the car does weight to much. if you race for a living like myself than you would be smart enough to take out the back seat and the passenger seat. replace the hood with a carbon fiber one and then you loose a couple hundered pounds. but if you dont race and just want a car that goes fast than its not the best choice but still a good one
