Strength:

Engineering, fit and finish, quietness, comfort, safety rating, fuel economy....it is a Toyota afterall...

Weakness:

Instrument panel a bit obscured when the seat is at the height I prefer.

Excellent vehicle. Very comfortable, very quiet, perfect fit and finish. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the construction and outstanding engineering of the Sienna. I am also very impressed with the safety rating see: http://www.highwaysafety.org/vehicle_ratings/ce/html/97026.htm This is the review for the Sienna. I bought this car to replace a Ford Windstar that was totalled in a car wreck. I am completely satisfied with the entire buying experience and am thrilled and relieved to be driving a Toyota again. I owned one about ten years ago and have regretted selling it ever since.

Strength:

Everything

Weakness:

A bit Pricey. But most new cars are expensive

A Solid performer. Absolutley no problems with anything. The ride is smooth. The vehicle is powerful. And all electrical gadgetry works perfect. I had a Plymouth Voyager for 10 years. I like the Toyota much more.

Strength:

comfort, space.

Weakness:

climbing over the rear coach seats to get to third row. Mechanical issues.

Great ride, lots of room, doesn''t make up for the mechanical issues. Often found motor oil inside the lower glove comp., with only 50K miles brakes needed replacing, a/c compressor squeals constantly. watch the sludge!!!!

I am on the market for a minivan and have found no one gives a direct comparision between Sienna and Odyssey. They certainly cost about same. Have anyone looked at the Odyssey before you decide to buy Sienna? I am a long time Toyota owner with a Camry and a Celica since 87. All the reviews from magzines are recommending Odyssey, but I saw a lot of complains on the Odyssey message board. None of them sound as scary as the "sludge" problem, but enough for me to wanting to sacrifing features for quality. I thought Sienna has Toyota name on it, its quality should be better than Odyssey. Or, isn''t it?

I may be jumping the gun on this review, but I have nothing but good to say about our sienna. We have had our van for 10 months and roughly 6000 miles.I change the oil every 3000 miles and I use synthectic oil.I am a aircraft mech. And I would never wait 7500 mile to change the oil in any car I own.People do your self and your cars a favor change your oil every 3000 mile. And check it every time you fill up the tank.

Strength:

Rides like a car, smooth ride. Excellerates fast when getting on the freeway. Like how the back seats can be removed. Comfortable seats.

Weakness:

Tires pressure light comes on & off. Engine light on and Toyota doesn''t find anything wrong with it. Breaks squeak once in a while.

Overall I like my Sienna. Kinda scared now that I read about that sluge problem. I have 25k on it and nothing yet. Better gather all my oil change reciepts for future reference.

I bought my Sienna after researching it extensivly on the internet. The overall purchasing of it was a delight. However the Dealer was my problem. I now take it to a different Toyota dealer and am very satisfied. I have not had one bit of trouble with my van and it has over 50,000 miles on it. It still runs like a new vehichle. I have maintaned it regularly. That being the key. When I am ready to get a new vehichle I will deffinatly be checking Toyota Sienna as my first choice.
