Love the heated seats. Interior and trunk are both very roomy. Ride is quiet, comfortable and smooth. Acceleration is quick. Just barely press the pedal and away you go. Love the fact I can hook my ipod up to the Aux and listen to my songs. (I have over 500). Exterior looks good. Windows are tinted. Color of car is a metallic gray--I think this is the best color available. Also like that you can open the trunk by pressing button on key.
Weakness:
The interior stereo and dash area looks cheap! I think Toyota cut corners on this part.Defogger takes a while to work, have to turn on AC. All in all,, I will give the Toyota Camry a 9 on a scale 1 to 10. It's just a great car. I was hesitant to buy because of the issues that had at the beginning of the year. But I took a chance because I have owned Toyotas before, and they were outstanding. I'm so glad I decided to purchse my Camry. |

Fuel economy, Reliability, Powerful for a four cylinder likes to drive @ 80 MPH. Good passing and hill climbing. Never overheats cool running engine.
Weakness:
Paint What more can I say that hasn't been said. How about this. Reliability, reliability, reliability. Second owner currently 135,000 on original engine and transmission. Biggest problem was a $600 two point oil leak, recently replaced master cylinder @ $275. Tires, brakes and oil changes for the rest. When I got the vehicle I was getting 25-33 MPG now after a very long road trip to Yellowstone from San Diego it is 33-40 MPG. Who knew? Love it. We repainted it as the paint was crap this year. Been solid since. Definitely will buy another Camry maybe a hybrid. Similar Products Used: Ford Ranger, Ford Explorer, Honda Odyssey, |

Nice leather seat.
Weakness:
Ride. Strength of the car-shaking of car and handle. It is okai on average but not really good. I am having problem with the ride. When I go on 70mph, car starts to shake a bit. It wasn't bad before but it is getting worse. (Tried to fix it but its not working!!) I am satisfied with interior but the ride isn't good. I recently got Sonata 2008 and it is way way way better. Feels more comfortable. camry also has really weak break, when needing to break suddenly, car SHAKES again. Handle shakes as well and you can actually feel the car shakes. The perfect family car. Big trunk, comfortable and simple interior cabin, enough power to drive around the freeways, easy to maintain, great on gas, super quiet ride. I feel so safe in this car and trust it to protect my kids in an accident. This car will be good to you, even if you arent good to it.
Weakness:
Could use ..... sturdier cupholders in the back seat! Easily stepped on and broken... Thats about it. This car has been the best car i have ever owned in all aspects you can think of. I bought this car fairly new with 16,000 miles in 02, and in 6 years the odometer is at 166,000. This car is used heavily as a commuter car throughout the so cal freeways every day of the week. It's great on gas, and provides a comfortable and safe ride wherever i go. The interior is super quiet even at high speeds, and easy to handle and maneuver. The exterior is holding up well, the hubcaps fall off quite often... which i have noticed on many many other camrys. The car is very easy to maintain, needing only the regular sheduled maintenance to keep it going another few thousand miles. After driving it so hard the rotors, belt, brakes and transmission flush have all been tuned up accordingly.. which was inexpensive and totally expected. The only only problem that has happened unexpectedly was a time on the freeway when the gas pedal stopped working, around 120,000 miles... Any pressure on the gas pedal was not met with acceleration.. After sitting on the side of the freeway a couple seconds the problem fixed itself and i have not had any problems with it since. This car is perfect for anyone with kids or friends of any size.. The back seat is big enough for two adults and a child in the middle.. The front seats are super comfortable and the drivers seat can accomadate anyone of any height or size. The engine is exactly what i am looking for when merging onto freeways and going a steady 70mph.. My son has recently started driving and this car has been the most user friendly car he has driven.. The only complaint he has is that it isnt sexy enough for him to drive ^_^ ... I love my camry and would buy it again and again for the rest of my life.. I plan to drive this baby til the end, which my mechanic says should be a healthy 250,000 because it is such an amazing car.. I really am in love with my toyota!! You will be too! ride :( This is a beautifully designed car. Both interior and exterior are well finished. The ride is troubling. With the sport suspension and low profile tires it is a giggly ride on every surface Similar Products Used: 2004 Toyota Camery |

No strengths, only good at average. Why did I buy it? Because I got a good offer for a new camry when I needed a car.
Weakness:
Low-quality and cheap materials used in and out. MPG is not as good as what you see on TV. Salesmen at Power-Toyota-Irvine were the worst I ever met. Services at Toyota website is not good (no replies to my emails many times). I am thinking that everyone at Toyota is so busy to build cars since it sells so many. They do not have time to say sorry. 1. Good deal when brought.

appearance looks more expensive than price tag (i got a brand new XLE with many features for $20,800), roomy interior, mileage
Weakness:
came with the cheapest bridgestone tires, which i had to replace before 20,000 miles. had to replace rear brakes at 25,000 miles and front brakes at 31,000 miles. i do little city driving and very easy on the brakes. some squeaks and rattles but extreme. ride is too harsh for this type of vehicle. the seat is too short. i am only 5'8" and it is barely adequate. I have noticed quality slippage at Toyota. If your read the many reviews that I have from various sources you will notice more and more problems. I am seeing brake, transmission, squeaks and rattles, and paint quality issues.

Strength:
Easy handling, few repairs needed, great gas mileage, crash ratings.
Weakness:
Needs to be a little more stylish/luxurious The car was bought in 99 by my grandfather, and it was given to my sister 2 years ago, and then to me over a year ago. I have been through a lot with it since then, put over 10,000 miles on it, and have only had to make very few repairs. Finally I think the car is coming to an end at 160k miles. I hate to let it go, but anyone that is thinking about getting one of these should not hesitate, they still make em as good as they used to, and I'm sure you'll get well over 100k miles during the cars lifetime. |
