Test drove the car today and really loved the handling and how easy it is to drive fast.I liked the accelaration in first gear but it seemed to peter out after that to me.(Maybe I shouldnt have ridden my sportbike to the dealership.)It is definately a drivers car that has to be driven to be appreciated.I just cant get past those stock wheels.

it has a little bit of turbo lag but if you go to turboxs and buy a blow off valve and a new turbo it is crazy fast

I have driven a lot of cars (i work at a auto shop) from a geo metro to a lamborgini diablo. I used to have a 95 BMW m5 and i wrecked it and it was great but it was also $70,000 and then after looking around someone brought in a 2003 wrx with a few dents and he was racing in a rallyclass scca and i was like that little thing cant do crap and then i drove it. for that much money and all that comes with it it would be stupid to buy anything else.

I had a 03 WRX I traded for the 04 STI and if you think that the WRX is a good car... well let me tell you, the STI ROCKS!!!!!!!! I am deffinetly glad I scraped together the doe. I hate to do this but.... I salute all the wishers out there.

turbo lag, could of came with better tires and rims, speakers and Maybe with better bucket seats(STI bucket seats perferred) thats IT!!!

I LOVE MY NEW BABY!!!!! The POWER, HANDLING, AWD and THE TURBO is the over all best combo. Car is NICELY balance. My friends and I, took my car (WRX) and a ACURA RSX to a canyon path and tested the WRX's abilities and found out that the suspension is VERY VERY VERY NICE!!!! RSX had the TEIN SS setup and it was running stiff and smooth, He was taking every tight, wide and short turns cleanly but suprisingly I was taleing him on every turn on stock suspension setup..... We were hitting speeds up to 85mph and had no problems and felt confident on every turn.... LOVE MY NEW BABY... CANT WAIT TILL I GET EITHER J.I.C MAGIC or TEIN FLEX setup and hit the canyons again.....

Just got the car. Already i can't stop driving it. The car is ridiculously quick, and it's not even broken it. I love the sound of the motor, can't hear the turbo that much, but what will change in the coming weeks. Got the car for 21000 with the spoiler, sinse the 04 is in and different i got a good deal on an 03, personally the 04 doesn't look as nice, the tiny fog lamps the hood isn't as detailed; unless u go for the STi, which contrary to popular belief won't be as badass as is could be. Don't get me wrong, i'd love an STi but the regular WRX will do the trick, plus you can use those extra 10K to fix up your wrx and spank the evo 8 or STi... 04 scoop is nicer tho. All in all it was 23000 out the door for an 03. Paid cash, of course. Comparing this to my ex. 97 M3, i'd take this for the price. Can't beat this car. Go get a wrx NOW! Don't waste your time or money on a civic.

Looks, I have the new version. I 'm starting to warm up to it. They need to come up with better colors. Carpet is weak. Interior not as posh as your average German cars.

WOW! I have been driving a Miata for the last 5 months, due to a newborn. My wife took my Tahoe because it's safer and more room. I got tired of guys trying to pick up on me because I drove the danm thing. So this forced me to look for another vehicle that seat at least four. I tested GTI, Jetta, Mazdaspeed, Civic etc.. Then I came across this WRX ugly freakin thing. But I gave it shot. I was blown away. Went home read more about it. Went back the next day and picked it up. Talk about a bargain. Compared to the other cars I tested just shell out another grand and you have yourself a safer, faster, and from what I heard reliable. It sure cured my illness. What a fun car, now my wifey wants drive all the time.

Well after about 9 months and 15K miles, I feel well qualified to finally write about this car. First of all, it's a joy to drive - even if it's only to back out of the driveway so my wife can get to work, but so much more so when the roads get twisty, or wet, or snowy, or turn to gravel or dirt. This car just flat-out moves. The mechanical quality is top-notch and the seats and steering wheel are superb. The short-throw shifter and armrest extension are worth the money. All-in-all a superb value. Nothing else performs like this car does in all environments for the money - an exceptionally well-rounded vehicle and one I'm proud to own. There are a few weaknesses, but the strengths far outweigh them - it just doesn't matter when you are driving it. It also goes well with an Apple iPod.

This is the best car for the buck. I have bigger rims and rally tires besides that it is bone stock. The thing is rediculously fast and well handling in any condition including dirt. I wouldnt trade it for anything.

Turbo Charged so pulls like non other. All wheel drive so maximum control. Handling is amazing. Stock Short throw shifter has a great feel and more sporty. 227 hp and 217 torque gives instant response when accelerating. Overall....great and fun car to drive.

Only weakness i encountered was the first gear tend to stick. It wouldn't go into gear sometimes. I had to struggle with it. Also, the clutch is all the way in but sometimes when i put it into 1st gear, it made a semi-grinding, vibration. I think it's just my car that does that though. I am going to get it checked out soon. Other than that.....Great car.

I originally wanted a celica gts. However, when i went to the dealer they said the 2003 models were not gonna be in for another 4 months. I couldn't wait...so i went to a subaru dealership and found out that i could get a WRX for the same price. I only had to wait 2 weeks. Turbo charged awd or a celica. I chose WRX and i couldn't be happier.

all, I keep in mind the cost(low) for what you get

Best value, taking wrx to the mountains almost ruins it anywhere else. I live in flatlands of S.C. and after road trips to the upstate and western N.C.(mountains)it seems out of its habitat back home. Exiting curves, you never worry where your back end is.
