Strength:

The whole package.

Weakness:

What is this category for??? Well, ok, it would be nice to have a rear power outlet like the Outback.

This is a great car for the price, and (like most say) it really makes driving fun. Nothing like whipping the crap out of some ''muscle car''.....especially with a station wagon! Anyone who thinks it''s an ugly car is just too conformist. AWD only makes this car better, and the car grips the road like a hungry anaconda.

Strength:

Did I say it was fast? You''ll find yourself muttering "Ok, Meat" everytime you pull up next to a rice rocket with a coffee can exhaust (or pretty much everything else short of a 911 or a Mustang Cobra). Great quality throughout. Subaru put the love where it counted, in the mechanics and handling packages.

Weakness:

Weaknesses? What Weaknesses? ok, ok: A tad bit of turbo lag, but like everyone says, keep it over 3300+ and you''ll be fine. Not a huge fan of the sound system, but it''s not bad. The A/C is a bit weak, but that might be just my car.

At the risk of sounding redundant to the other reviews - oh man, what a car. I was on the verge of buying a USED Audi S4 for about $5000 more when my girlfriend told me to try this car. After taking it for a test spin (and breaking 100+ mph on a freeway onramp from a dead stop with the turbo screaming like a ferret on crack) I bought the car the same day. Unearthly cornering ability, especially on wet stuff - popping the ebrake and getting sideways on the wheels isn''t an emergency maneuovere anymore, merely a convenient way of getting around a corner when you''re slightly impatient. Corners on rails is kind of an understatement. The ride is really comfortable, and it''s almost unfair how sedate this car is at 80+ mph. Handling is a dream, the mechanics and finish are top notch. This car is a bargain even at MSRP. It may not have the finish of the S4, but hey, for $12,000 less when new and a hell of lot more reliability

Strength:

power, handling

Weakness:

appearance, refinement

Test drove a WRX with 17 inch wheels. As the owner of a 1998 prelude with modified suspension, I frequently test drive new sporty cars under $30,000 to see how they stack up. The WRX has a lot of power and a solid feel on twisty secondary roads - this is where it thrives. Highway is nothing special, the prelude feels like similar power above 80 w/o a downshift. When we got back to dealership, I realized how much better my prelude looked than the WRX. And, as I drove away I also felt the prelude is more fun to drive. The increased power in the WRX just is not that thrilling, and you would have to give up looks and refinement just to be able to go faster in the 30-80 mph range. I think some young people may get in trouble with this car - the salesperson told me one of his co-workers had already wrecked one (I can believe it, it really is more powerful than anything I am used to).

Strength:

-economically minded sporty car(gas milege) -ability to hold road

Weakness:

-body roll and softness in tight cornering are noticeavle and to fix it voids the warranty on the suspension-recommend stiffer sway bars, strut braces, and coil-overs -a little turbo lag -cup holders?

The car is fun to drive, although the turbo lag and body roll are noticeable. Not having it very long, my review can''t possible be complete, but I do like the car a lot.

Strength:

Midrange power, handling, great in the snow, good ground clearance, great visability, great seats and steering wheel, 6 disc CD changer, everything feels tight.

Weakness:

Turbo lag, need to manually shift the auto to get the most out of it (buy a manual).

I have had the car for 9 months now, and have put over 11,000 miles on it. Not one problem. The fact that it was built in Japan makes me feel confident about its future reliability. I won''t go into detail about performance because you''ve heard what it can do. I will say that the turbo lag is not as bad as some make it out to be, and I rarely notice it. Without a clutch (auto trans) taking off fast from a stop can be frustrating, but it isn''t an issue during normal driving.

Strength:

Handling and for $25,000 car, it''s very nice.

Weakness:

Needs lots of modifications. Pretty high Turbo lag time. Will need to spend at least 2 to 3 thousand dollars to lower the turbo lag time.

I read a lot of reviews about the WRX before I bought it. The car is worthy every cent of it. Amazing handling. Love the car!! I put Samco Intercooler Hoses, Forge Blow-off Valve, K&N air filter, and Apexi AVC-R boost controller. Spent about $1000 and car is running a lot better. For 25,000 MSRP, it''s not bad. But if you like the speed, you might need to spend more money to get it faster. I am planning to put more money to modify, will see.

Weakness:

Spend thirteen hundred bucks and enter the 13s in the quarter mile. Best bang for the buck out there. Live in Wyoming so you can take out the three catalytic converters. You will easily achieve 300+ bhp. Boost control alone gives you 30+ hp.

Strength:

mostly everything Drive train, awd system, safety features, you name it..

Weakness:

just a bit of turbo lag, keep it over 3000

You have no idea.... Drive one and all your questions will be answered. This car performs and speaks for its self! If you drive a car with a go-kart muffler, I feel sorry for you. Keep trying though. Don''t get me wrong, German engineering is top knotch, but most of the people that buy them, don''t drive them for that reason. Bimmer and Audi owners, just keep looking at your self in the rear view mirror and pretend you are cool.

Strength:

Speed, all wheel drive, huge fog lamps. Doesnt sound like anything else on the road once you apply an AEM cold air intake and a turbo back exhaust system. This car rumbles, and purrrrrs.

Weakness:

Leather option would have been nice. Upset it didnt come with 17s and moon roof like previous imprezas.

This car is awsome. It is by far the ultimate race car. Comes with a free SCCA membership, which I''ve put to use. I can tell you this car hauls butt. Handles corners at high speeds extreamly well and turns heads when it is launched. I''ve never driven anything like it. I would have to say the closest to the WRX would be a new gen. RX7, WRX lacks some of the pick up that the RX7 has but makes up for it in handling. With the high roof, 4 doors and roomy trunk space who can go wrong. Its also the perfect car for pulling a fast one on your wife, husband or parent, you just tell them its a family car, and they will never know its a racer.
