Strength:
powerful small car engine, nimble road handling, passenger space, some parts are plentiful and cheap, comes with AC, AM/FM cassette, power stering, power brakes
Weakness:
much engine noise, road noises, no guide rail for windows, no locking rear split seats, no locking glove compartment, loud squeeky fast wear out brakes, no locking gas cap, fluttering electrical (lights, radio, air), no dent resistant panels I like my 1995 Plymouth Neon Highline when it was new and the warranty was still active in the first 3 years of the cars life. It was peppy when it was fresh. My Neon started to lose it's performance when it got to be 6 years old. The Lemon Aid Used Car Guide, Consumers Reports was correct when it said Neons were gas hog, cheap econoboxes. I have a CDN $1000+/- oil head gasket leak and they will need to do the timing belt, head bolts, head re-machining, etc. My transmission is also leaking. A German, Japanese, or even another North American car like Chevy Chavelier/Pontiac Sunfire wouldn't have leaked so soon. Neon Expresso 2dr
Strength:
It has alot of power, 150hp. Good suspension and i havent had any problems with the engine sence ive bought it. Its easy to keep clean there is no problem with the paint, i think thats just a dodge problem, and there is alot you can do with a neon to improve its performance.
Weakness:
first when i was driving it i had to get use to the high rear end. i couldnt see over the car to my blind spot. but i got use to that, when i bought it, it had a small oil leak, but that was fixed for $40 bucks and the automatic dosent come with a overdrive so therefor your going 70 at 3300rmps and that gets bad gas milege. the car really neads a overdrive, and maybe better gaskets in the engine, I have been looking for a car for about 6 months and i finally found the car for me. Its sporty and looked almost new. It had alot of power and the ride was smooth, there was hardly any outside noise till around 60 mph. This is a small car that gets good gas milege. Similar Products Used: 93 ford escort-compared to a neon the neon looks and drives like a bmw i havent had a single problem with my car and it has over 100,000 miles i love my car and i hope to keep it for a very long time |
