DESCRIPTION

Pros:

  • Comfortable and quality-built interior
  • Strong list of interior features
  • 4-cylinder engine fuel economy
  • Attractive coupe style

  • Envious resale value
Cons:
  • Too much road noise

  • Bluetooth not available with all trims
Ruling: The 2011 Honda Civic offers a solid combination of practicality and style in a compact car format. Excelling as a daily driver, the Honda Civic is offered in five different models - coupe, sedan, Si Coupe, Si Sedan, and Hybrid - with numerous engine and transmission options. Overall, the Civic is a good pick for fuel economy, reliability, and practicality.

The Civic comes in two eco-friendly options: the Honda Civic Hybrid and the GX, a hybrid alternative that runs on Compressed Natural Gas. Unfortunately the GX is only sold in California (and other states that have accepted California's Zero-Emission Vehicle regulations). It costs about $10,000 more than a base Civic.
