Strength:

looks pretty good inside and out, expecially for the coupe pretty comfortable pretty quiet interior material is good, and it''s built pretty tight. handling is good, give a nice road feedback and the tightness is just right. in-dash 6cd changer, a really nice feature. nice trunk space.

Weakness:

not enough power, but oh well, it''s a 4 cylinder and it has only 150 hp. a few rattle, kinda annoying, but it''s american made, so it''s understandable. brakes lacks a good feeling of pressure, so it gets a little tired for ur feet after a while. moonroof doesn''t go all the way back. stock tires suck, but it''s expected. CAUTION !!! VIRATION BEYOND 60MPH, this problem is really getting on my nerves, it started happening 1 week after i bought it, at first it happens only somtimes, but ever since i took it on the track for some road test, it''s been viration all time, sometimes the vibration gets really bad, it goes through your arms on the steering wheel then through ur whole body, it''s REALLY annoying. i went to my dealer twice but both times they told me there was nothing wrong, but i''m sure there''s something wrong because my friend has a 2000 EX coupe and it DOESN''T vibrate. i talked to the manager today and he told me to bring the car in on friday so hopefully they''ll get it fixed. El Cerrito Honda, if u got the car from there and ur experiencing the same problem, don''t even waste ur time talking to those service ppl, go straight to the manager, that might get u som

the car is overall a pretty good car, useful and reliable. but at some points it''s not what i expected.

Strength:

They last and last with little maintenance. Very powerful for a 4 cylinder. Last upto 450,000-500,000 miles is not uncommon for Honda Accord.

300,000miles in the past 11 years and still going strong. Still almost runs like new despite abusing it by hauling concrete and lumber. I only tuneup at 100,000miles instead of the manufacturer recommended every 30,0000 miles. With Honda, they easily last up to 450,000 miles, that''s why they have high resale value cuz they LAST a long time. Great piece of "Rolex" automobile engineering.

Strength:

good looking smooth and powerful engine

Weakness:

auto transmission. Go get a 5sp if you want to buy honda

I don''t know why there are so many accord on the road, and I surely was stupid enough to join them. Bought a 01 Lx auto about a year ago, and the car runs ok without major problem, except for the transmission. For some reason, the car is kind of indecisive to shift gear when you want to recover speed at lower range (0-15 mph). Gear shifts are not that smooth. I read some bad stories about Honda''s auto transmission -- seems my car is right in this group. I thought I could keep an Accord for long before I bought this car, but now plan to sell it when the warranty is over.

Strength:

fast enough, stable, spatial and reasonable cost/benefit ratio

Weakness:

Can get noisy when accelerated over 75 mph

Impressive acceleration, it is quiet under 75 mph. Over 75 mph, I can hear windy noise from the outside, which I did not hear at all when I tried Pontiac Grand Prix. The cabin is spatial enough for 4 full-grown adults.

Strength:

Sufficient power Great breaks and handling Awesome looks Very quiet under 80mph Very smooth over 80mph confortable front seats Good ergonomics Good gas mileage It holds its resale value

Weakness:

Manual transmission "slows it down" Back seat needs more room

This car is awesome, I''ve had it for 1 year without any problems. American cars don''t even come close in quality, handling, looks etc. etc. If you can, avoid the 4 cyl. engine. Hopefully when they redesign it they think of a manual transmission instead of the automatic.

Model Reviewed: Accord EX Wagon

Strength:

reliability, appearance considering age/miles, cargo room, smooth ride

Weakness:

road noise, passenger leg room, underpowered engine (4-cylinder), stereo, uncomfortable cloth seats

This car has been solid. No major repairs, and I know I could drive cross-country tommorrow at 95,000 miles with no worries. The 4 cylinder is a little underpowered and I wish it was a bit more quiet, but for the money, you can''''t beat the reliability and smooth ride. The few fairly minor repairs that have been necessary thus far are: a new power antenna at 60,000; a new CD player within 3 years; a new sending unit for my gas tank at 90,000; a broken seal that caused the car to leak antifreeze; and a replaced CV joint. At 6 feet, I wish I could stretch my legs out a little more when I am sitting in the front passenger seat. Also, I have noticed that I have to turn the rotors and replace brake pads often - but it is probably my driving.

Strength:

Low Mantinence Great Gas milege Handles Great

Weakness:

Very low to the ground..hard to get out of..yes I am getting older!!! Had to replace automatic antenna only

This was my dads car which he purchased new after he retired. The car only has 44000 miles on it, but I am driving it now. This car is the best car I have ever had, and I have been driving for 30 years. This car was never in a garage and does not have one spot of rust. In cold and snow it starts up at first try. My father always had oil changed every 3000 miles. That is the only thing that he had to do with this car. It handles great and runs fast for a 4cyl. I traded in my own 1991 Accord EX coupe for a 1999 Passport, which was the worst mistake I could have made. It has been in the shop more than I can drive it, so I use the 1991 Honda. Do not EVER get a Passport(JUNK). My next new car will be a Honda Accord after I have to give the Honda back to my mom.

Strength:

QUALITY and reliability Great performance in all categories Value (Price, no repairs, resale value)

Weakness:

Needs 1 more inch of headroom Steering wheel should go up 1-2 more inches

QUALITY. The US brands (I''ve owned GM, Ford and Chrysler) don''t even come close, no matter what hype they publicize. Quality is exceptional. Not ONE thing has gone wrong with the car in 3 yrs! As a hot rod owner, this car is B+ in every category and is on Car & Driver''s "Top 10" list for the 12th year in a row. If Honda can make the next wersion with 40 more hp and a little more room (I''m 6'' 3"), I''m buying it!
