Blaupunkt Stereo Tires, Wheels, Zetec Refined....93 octane makes her fly. Seems improved over previous year models. Much Quieter.
Weakness:
No Cruise Control or Tilt added for SE Wagon 400a code. 410a code is ZTW. Small insurance difference as well, ZTW is considered High Output 2003 year Focus seems alright, so far. This car is loaded with all but tilt and cruise. ZTW loaded could be as much as a ZX-5 SVT, 21 Thou + w/traction Control. SE Wagon does not offer tilt or cruise for 2003 year, but honestly this car does not need it. Took on long trip and I never thought twice about it. This car is a friggin great ride, and people can't stop staring and it's a great lookin wagon. has the ZTS style alloys with Goodyear RS-A. Power everything. Massively awesome MP/3 Blaupunkt. Still searchin for my hidden woofer. Gotta be there,no stock stereo ever sounded this good! Good trunk space, good gas mileage, great stereo, great handling, cool design, all the features of a more expensive car.
Weakness:
Road Noise, small gas tank This car runs really well. Some say that it doesn't get good gas mileage,it does, they just dont realize that the car has a small gas tank. The handling is awesome, the body style is cool, and the stereo is also very good. The trunk space is very large and it has all the features of a more expensive car. There is some noticable road noise on some surfaces but overall a great car. This is my 12th Ford vehicle and I could not be more pleased with Ford. I had this Focus for less than 1 month and while driving to work, the rear driverside wheel fell inward rubbing on the wheel-well. It turned out that the upper controll arm bolt fell out. This was promptly replaced. On my next oil change I asked the dealer to inspect my rear suspension to ensure that all bolts were tight, I was informed that all was well. Within a month, I noticed a loud noise coming from the rear of the car while driving at highway speeds and after looking at my tires, I noticed that the rear tires were scalloped (after less than 10K kms). The car was due for an oil change and I got the dealer to check the rear end and get an alignment. When I picked up the car, They found that the Left Hand upper control arm bolt had come loose. Now I have two useless tires and I don't know when the rear wheels are going to fall off. Also gas mileage for a small 4 cyl car is terrible when compared to my civic(about 420 km/tank) the last windstar I had was almost as good on gas as this pig!! I will never buy a ford, but sunce my company leases from them I will have to drive them. Similar Products Used: Honda civic worth the extra money |

Interior Room Cargo Room Stereo Price!!!!
Weakness:
Antenna Placement No Handle on the Trunk Couldn't be any happier with this wagon. I am very fond of wagons for there cargo capacity and their gas mileage. I dislike SUV's very much, unless under certain circumstances and about 85% of us don't really need 4x4.(People just need to learn how to drive in the snow) I went from an Escort Wagon to the Focus Wagon and am very pleased. Great interior room and gas mileage. It has a good amount of pep for a 4 cyl. wagon. There are a ton of aftermarket parts (geared mostly for the ZX3, but they both have the same engine). I haven't had any problems yet. The dealer was very helpful and friendly in finding the exact color and equipment. I have used my wagon to go fishing, camping, canoeing, and to take the family around town. It has performed excelent in each case. I would definitely recomend this vehicle. The only thing I would change would be the placement of the antenna (very difficult to load a canoe on top) and the trunk release. There is no handle on the trunk, you have to use the keychain, button on the dash, or your keys. If these are the only 2 things wrong, I am very happy. seemed like a good car, but only drove it 100 miles
Weakness:
The dealership has people so stupid you don't know wether to laugh or cry. They don't give a damn about your time. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS I'm not sure about my car since I have only drove it 100 miles (50 miles home and 50 miles back to the shop). The knuckle heads put black trim on one side and silver on the other. First they wouldn't believe me and refused to order the trim w/out looking at it. One would think it was a simple job but the bozos at auto serve of tilton can't even fix something that simple. The car has been in the shop for a week. The keep ordering the wrong parts. They have even called to tell me the trim was in and they are painting it....but keeping up with their 100% track record of stupidity they painted the wrong parts. Despite writing my phone numbers down and specifically telling them now 3 times they call my home number during the day and work number at nite (again 100%). The car was filthy when I got it...covered with dust in the inside and grease stains on the outside. They keep saying the're going to make it right....but now I am expecting the car to come back even dirtier then it was when I got it. |

Ride, handling, steering, brakes, room, comfort, economy, trunk space, etc.
Weakness:
Interior rattles, Zetec needs a bit more power, front seats could use some lumbar support adjustments. The Focus drives so well that it's surprising the car costs so little. Impressive overall package, really, despite some recalls. I've had my car in the shop for a few issues, including one recall. But every time I was treated respectfully and the car was repaired on time...every time. I'm impressed with how Ford's service seems to have improved over the years. |

EVERYTHING The car that I have had has caused me nothing but problems! It has no power! It is as fast as Lance Johnson on a bicycle. Acceleration is poor. Needs a V6 or bigger engine to make this POS go faster. They are ugly!!! I have no clue why I bought the piece of crap. "They handle as good as they look" if they are ugly then they must handle like crap. And it does. Don't waste your time or money! |

Where to start...go through these reviews and see how many times the average Focus owner has had to tow their Focus to the shop and wait for days and days for the rude service people to treat them like idiots and then bill them their first born child. I would rather poke my eyes out then buy another Focus. We had our Focus for 6 months before it had to go to the shop for new breaks...with less than 5,000 miles. That should have been our crystal ball. I read almost 200 of the reviews and am so mortified to see the same things over and over that we have also experienced...brakes...HORRIBLE SERVICE...extremely loud, ignition problems...at 48,000 we just had to replace the fuel pump which cost us $500. I want someone to steal this car. Honestly...it is a freakin nightmare. I should have just bought a Corolla. After the lousy service and dreadful attitude of Ford we will never ever buy a vehicle from them again. |
