Strength:
THE ONLY THINGS THAT'S GOOD ABOUT THIS CAR IS THAT IT HAS GOOD LEG AND BODY ROOM.
Weakness:
WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR I HAD TO GO THROUGH 4 NEW TIRES IN THE FRONT. THE CAR DOES NOT HANDLE IN THE RAIN AT ALL. AND NOW WHEN I'M DRIVING THE CAR WILL JERK FROM SIDE TO SIDE. THIS CAR IS NOTHING THAT I EXPECTED FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY. AND TO BE ABLE TO GET SOMETHING FIXED YOU CAN'T FIND ANY PARTS HARDLY.I FEEL THAT I MADE A MISTAKE BUYING THIS CAR. AND NO ONE WILL TAKE THIS CAR AS A TRADE IN ON ANOTHER KIND OF CAR. |

Weakness:
1) hubcaps..... took them off so they wouldnt fly off with my driving 2) gas mileage is 20 mpg with heavy duty police type driving and air on I am amazed as to the quality of this car. The style and look of the car, good with gas and I guess good with the price.
Weakness:
You get what you pay for. In my case I bought the car in cash brand new and it's not worth no where what I paid for it:( This car has not been giving me any problems... until now. I purchased the vehicle in june of 2000. In Jan 2001 I got in an accident and got the car repaired and it was running great. Then in June 2001 the air condition went. Luckily the warranty took care of it. I got all my free oil changes until I hit the 36,000 mark and then they discontinued it:( Due to BKRPT. I was still happy with the car but now at 53,000 miles, the car died on me and I think it is the timing belt. I don't know what to do and I fear that since the BKRPT that I might have a lot of trouble to get my car fixed. |

Daewoo Nubira
Strength:
Very sturdy and reliable car. This car saved my life when I spun out on a bridge trying to avoid a "road rage" driver. It handled great and I avoided 3 tractor trailers and the two walls that enclose the bridge.
Weakness:
Can't find support. Can't find parts. And no one seems to care to help with either. Love the car. Don't love the fact that I can't find parts or anyone to work on it. The few places I have found here in Connecticut willing to work on it play "this person is stuck so let's jack up the price 110%". |

Strength:
Value for money. Good looking and spacious.
Weakness:
some minor problems but are all fixable. No sweat. It was true that Daewoo in Korea went bankrupt. But now, General Motors (GM) had taken over the company and they are now called GM-Daewoo. In Singapore, GM spent 2 months and SGD300,000 to renovate the entire showroom. This is the kind of money and confidence GM has for Daewoo cars. I have be a Daewoo advocate since young when my dad bought our 1st Daewoo racer. I now own 2 Daewoos. This car is value for money and has big cabins for the same C.C. category. Read a lot of reviews complaining about lack of spare parts and poor service level provided by the dealers in USA. All I can say is 'hang in there'. GM is coming to the rescue. I'd be happy to ship spare parts to you if you are unable to get them at your location. I am doing this to win back some smiles from the unhappy drivers and because I really like Daewoo's car. You can write to me at tanboonpiang@hotmail.com Just let me know what you need and provide a simple description of the item. I will run to the Agent here and check it out. I put all in one.
Weakness:
I put all in one. Just want to say that this car was good in the beginning and still is just that with the bankrupcy it is hard to get parts and or trade in with out someone wanting to finance this vehicle... After two years of having this care the Transmission torque converter has went out, found this out through the check engine light... And I think that is a big deal seeing this car is only two years old with 60,000 miles on it. First major repair that I have had to do though. Other than that it runs really well and I'm just glad it is not lemon. Just upset like I said with the transmission on it.. |

Strength:
Looks, loaded with options without a big pricetag. Runs and handles good, no problems.
Weakness:
Company went bankrupt, parts hard to come by. Nice car. Lots of stuff included for a great price. Also, the car looks sharp and is styled inside and out with a touch of class. Gets decent gas mileage, and runs very well. The "check engine" light is stuck on due to a faulty knock sensor, and I haven't been able to find a replacement part since Daewoo went bankrupt. This is my biggest fear, finding replacement parts as the car gets older. It's too bad about the bankruptcy really, the cars Daewoo made had a lot going for them, but alas, I fear I may have to get a different vehicle because of worries over parts in the furue. Strength:
smooth running car. drives and rides good. I get very good gas milage.
Weakness:
replaced knock sensor about 3 times, no significant use that I know of. Has been to the shop more times than I can remember. The timing belt broke, but I was able to find a dealer in Mississippi to repair under warranty back in October 2002. Also, I discovered that some isusi parts can be used on the daewoo. |
