Stereo w/factory amp. Leather seats, Factory spoiler
Weakness:
Poor acceleration, noisey brakes I've have the car for about 8 months and it had about 91,000 miles on it when I purchased it. I've put close to 20,000 miles on it since I took it off the car lot. It has held up pretty well although the oil light flickers when I idle at a stop light. I need to replace the front struts and I took it to a dealer and they told me that I need to replace the center engine mount ($310) but other then that I think that I got a pretty good deal. No regrets yet. I only plan on holding on to it for another year. Similar Products Used: Ford Contour |

Leather seats??? I don't know, I can't think about any.
Weakness:
Brakes, ABS system, electrical system in the whole car. ok, after reading everyone else's response about this car I'm thinking "why didn't I think about reading this before I bought the car," which is completely totalled after my accident. One morning I was on my way to work, going 45m/h downhill. Suddenly I realized that my brakes were locking up (meaning I wasn't able to move the pedal to go down) and all of a sudden I realized that I wasn't able to move the pedal at all. In front of me were a bunch of cars stopping at a red light. Since I couldn't brake because the pedal wouldn't move, I had to hit the truck in front of me. The car was totalled. The worst thing is I had just gotten the car back from service where I had specifically told them to check the brakes because the ABS light was coming on at times. My right ankle was broken, I had to get surgery done and I couldn't work for almost 4 months. The mechanic place I sent the car to for inspection couldnt find anything wrong with the brakes so I couldn't even sue the company. Now, one of the people who wasn't even hurt at the accident is trying to sue me for money reasons. All I can say about this car is, "if you like your life the way it is, don't buy this car, don't even turn around and look at it, because it will only bring you trouble and more trouble." Now I got more problems to deal with, and I have to live with a screw in my ankle for the rest of my life. IF YOU LIKE YOUR LIFE DON'T BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!! transmission, computer??, speed sensors, very expensive parts and repairs...Even though this is a domestic vehicle....most of the engine components are Mitsubishi and very expensive.....there really is no advantage to buy domestic....I would have been better off with a Japanese....my wife is VERY smart. Summary: Have had problems since 70k miles. Replaced transmission. The major problem I'm having is when you're driving along at any given time, the car will shift down, or it can even go into neutral. You can turn the car off and turn it back on and it will be fine til it happens again (which who knows when that is?) There is no indication that the car does this when it's hot or cold, it will do it at anytime. Sometimes I can drive the car for weeks and it won't do it, then all of a sudden it will do it every few miles or so. Then stop again!!. I can't wait to get rid of this car. transmission, computer??, speed sensors, very expensive parts and repairs Have had problems since 70k miles. Replaced transmission. Car has sat in our driveway more than it has been driven due to costly repair. Our Chrysler dealer in town knows about this problem and can't figure it out. I know of several others who have had problems and the garages don't know what's up. The major problem we're having now is when you're driving along at any given time, the car will shift down, or it can even go into neutral. You can turn the car off and turn it back on and it will be fine til it happens again (which who knows when that is?) There is no indication that the car does this when it's hot or cold, it will do it at anytime. I think it's possessed! Sometimes I can drive the car for weeks and it won't do it, then all of a sudden it will do it every few miles or so. Then stop again !! I have talked to Chrysler about this and there are no recalls. Chrysler did tell me that the problem was the output speed sensor ($18). I put this on and drove it for a week and well...........it's still possessed. I can't wait to get rid of this car but can only get about $2500 to $3000 out of it. I hate to sell it locally because I feel sorry for the poor guy who buys it !!! Anyone who knows us, won't touch this car for anything !!!! |

The engine and everything that is connected to the engine. At first I loved this car however all at once small things were going wrong with it. First it was my water pump, then it was one of the tubes that lead to my water pump, now my transmission, computer and dashbord do not work. After some research I have found this is typical for this model car I would definately NOT buy A chrysler again, especially if they know about these problems but refuse to fix them or even alert the public. |

for no reason, after having the car for just over a year, the transmission has problems and my dealer is telling me that it will cost $1,800 to fix between parts and labor. Also, within months of buying the car, the battery went and I had to buy a brand new one. This car has eaten up my savings. The car is nice inside. It has leather interior and roomy trunk. Engine loud, brakes aren't the best and has trouble picking up speed. I bought this car in 2001 used. It came to me with the ABS and brake light on. Got it checked out and told it was just bad sensors'. About 3 months after I had it the water pump broke. At the present time the distributor in out of commission and is going to cost me about $800 for a new one. I can't wait to get rid of this car. Similar Products Used: none |
