The car all ways, I mean always, started when the key was turned.

Weakness:

The comfort was average, the value was poor, and the all around performance was below average.

service and customer satisfaction on the brake issue.

I have always loved the Prizm. My first was a 95 Geo, basic model and I loved the handling, low maintenance and the safety features. HOWEVER, my 1999 developed an 'intermittent' loss of brakes at around 13,000 miles. Because the service techs cannot 'duplicate' the problem, GM has concluded "that no problem exists." This is after 3 other people other than myself have experienced the loss of brakes. I have been fighting since Feb., had 2 different dealership service departments look at it and now have magnetic signs on my car. 2 say "this car experiences intermittent loss of brakes" and 2 say GM "concludes that no problem exists." They have also informed me that unless their service techs experience the problem, it doesn't exist. This loss of brakes occurs inconsistantly, happening in cold/hot weather and during wet/dry conditions. Apparently customer word is not good enough for them to understand the problem. Customer Assistance is a joke and the area engineer won't even look at the car. I will NEVER by another Chevy or GM product again. I will continue to drive with my signs and my 4 way flashers going to warn other motorists about the possibility of me loosing my brakes. I won't go lemon law because I have been told that they will take back the car, look it over and put it back on the road when they can't 'duplicate the problem'. I prefer to know that I may loose the brakes and drive as defensively as possible instead of having some family be in the car and loose their lives.

Strength:

great gas mileage, good value for a commuter vehicle and being a very dependable car. Totally reliable. Nothing major has ever had to be fixed in the six years we have owned it.

Weakness:

Its toast if ever in an accident and so are you but that's what you get for great gas mileage. Stereo knob broke off due to cheap plastic parts and now the air bags don't work.

This car is very maneuvrable, has excellent gas mileage and a great value for those looking for an inexpensive, attractive, very reliable car. No real problems and I have driven it for almost 108,000 miles! Just routine maintenance.

Strength:

Handling, engine power, comfortable seat, price. 5 speed is only choice if you wants some fun.

Weakness:

For this price? NO.

Well handling, engine power, very quite and comfortable, plus great price. My car is 2001/Base new car, 5 speed with redio only. the dealer sold to me at $10,700, I have $1,467 GM card reward, so plus tax and fee( out of door) is $10,500. I changed a aftermarket CD player and speakers:$500, trade my stock tires and wheels with 195/55R15 tires and alloy wheel: $600. Now my car feel and drive is great.

Strength:

Weakness:

Poor build quality, bad A/C, everything you'd expect from a chevy.

This car isn't a chevy well it sorta is, its a GEO, which is a little part of chevy. Over the years, this car has fallen apart. The A/c is shot, the radio is shot, the door handles on two doors fell off, the windows don't roll up all the way. The brakes feel squishy, I will never buy another chevrolet again!! There are some good things, The seats are ok. It fits 5 people. Gets ok gas mileage
