Strength:
Everything. The nicest thing I've driven since my fathers 85.
Weakness:
The only thing is trying to change a tail light, you have to take the whole rear deck off. I would hope Buick revives the Riv in a more nostalgic fashion real soon. Similar Products Used: 88 Regal first year for a new model, had to get rid of it right away. - 89 Mazda MX6 replaced the Regal, exceptional car!! much smaller and less comfort as the Riv. |

Strength:
Outstanding acceleration, Away-from-the-mainstream styling, useful technology
Weakness:
Terrible ride quality and suspension, poor materials, poor fit and finish, awkward trunk opening, narrow glass all around This car had such potential that it is a crying shame how absolutely horrible it turned out. I leased this after being very impressed (and still am) with the 3800 Series II Supercharged engine found in the Park Avenue, Regal GS and Gran Prix GTP. This is a great engine and worthy of getting. Puts most V-8's to shame. The styling may be a love-it-or-hate-it type, but I am attracted to those things out of the mainstream. Here ended my appreciation for the car. Strength:
Smooth ride.
Weakness:
Brakes are a constant headache Bought the car because I have wanted one since high school. A friend had a 68 or 69 model that was awsome. Picked this year because I did'nt like the earlier body style. Similar Products Used: Lincoln Town Car |

power, style, comfort, quality, dependabilty, makes u want to drive it and not come home. This car goes! Im only 17, and this is my moms car but i get to drive it often, and i can honestly say this car hauls butt. especially off the line. it pins u pretty good. I've grew up with trucks and not so fast cars...but when i first got to drive this i was blown away. it's only a high 15 second car on the drag strip....but it feels like a jet. The power suprises alot of people. When u put your foot in it...and it down shifts...u wont be disspointed. This car is also very comfortable. Any where u sit in the car your comfortable. Im 5'10 and 300 pounds...and i fit in it just fine. The seats move any way u can imagine and there heated when u need it...a very nice feature. I love the dash...wraps around the whole car...and tons of guages. I read another review that said this was a bad thing...but i dont agree with that. It gives the car a very user friendly feel. there is a ton of ac vents for the summer....even in the back. the stereo cranks pretty good...and convient storage for your extra cd's. The moon roof is very nice. I really havent found a flaw on the car. At the very least drive this car and you will see. It's very addictive.....makes long trips very comfy and fun.
Weakness:
it's hard for me to think of many but i will try....cause i know nothing is perfect. Power is great, but when u load it with a few big guys u can feel the difference. so if you plan on racing go alone. Also i dont like the 110 mph govenor. I havent taken it that fast...but it would make me feel better if i knew the car would let me top of the speedo. I know the car could do the 120 mph on the speedo...and i believe u could hit 140 mph with it if it let u. Another thing is when something breaks..it's exspensive to fix. The only thing we have had to replace is the alternator. started to make noise and create dust. it was probably the bearing. Luckily it was under warranty and only cost us the 100 deductable. hmmm...what else? breaks squeak a bit..but are solid. a little body roll in the corners...but once u get used to it then it's fine. this car is a great mix of speed and luxury. a true sport luxury car. it's got flash, but not to much. it's very functional. looks great....great lines. more than enough power to satisfy a 17 year old males need for speed. Also a very safe feeling car. has a very stout front bumper...u cant see it from looking at it..just looks like a thin plastic deal...but open the hood and look infront of the radiator and u will see what i mean. Similar Products Used: well nothing like this. The only other thing i drive is a 90 ford bronco...and thats no comparison to this..whole different type of vehicle. I can say this is the nicest, fastest. most enjoyable car i have ever driven...wouldnt change it for anything. my mom chose this car over camaros and mustangs and i thank her for it! |

Strength:
Power, Size, Looks. This car has 340 hp and 425 lb ft of touque. All it does is smoke the tires. It corners well considering it is a 4500 lb car. The looks have a hate it or love it style.
Weakness:
Gas. This thing eats gas. Goes through tires just as fast. Long stopping distance. Poor cornering. Wet traction is non-existant. I love this car. It has so much power and looks so cool. The exhaust sounds like the engine is under water or something. It is a beutiful sound. I can smoke anyone off a stoplight. The looks of this car are the best. It has the classic riviera boat-tail fastback. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Handling, speed and style. Seats are very comfortable and the interoir is well laid out. The car is remarkably fast and agile for an american luxury car.
Weakness:
The chrome wheel tend to let air escape slowly. You have to check your tire pressure weekly if you get the chromes. Also, the resale value is depreciated. It is a steal to get a $36,000 luxury coupe for only $12,000 after five years. Superior luxury and performance. Supercharged 3.8 liter will run off the line and keep going. Awesome ride. Very quiet, yet responsive. It rides like a caddilac and performs like a corvette. VERY nice lines on the car. Well appointed inside every conceivable ammenity is right at your fingertips. I LOVE this car. Similar Products Used: BMW 5 series, Caddilac El Dorado, Lincoln Town Car. It blows them all away.... |

Supercharged 2D Coup
Strength:
I don't consider myself to be a car person..but I must say that I have come to really appreciate this car. My husband picked it out but I drive it. For a 2D it's much roomier that our 4D car and it's a very good looking car. It can roll if you let it. Supercharged engine, leather interior, cd player, passenger control air as well as back seat vents, secure seat belts, and just a very good looking and feeling car.
Weakness:
The breaks are constantly sqeaking and the paint finish isn't the greatest. I would have to say that the thing I like least about this car is the angel of the front widows. Which is usually how sports cars window are made. If I'm the front car at a stop light I have to scoot down or bend my head to see the light. Or just stop a few feet from the corner. It doesn't turn very smoothly and the it vibrates when you break. Its also to heavy...You can feel the car strain to pull itself sometimes. Other then that it's a smooth ride. I would have to say that the first thing I like about this car is that it doesn't look like everyother car on the road. It's als a very comfortable ride with leather interior, wide seats and enough leg room for me. I'm 5"10 and almost 300 lbs and I mainly drive this car but have been in the passager seat for long periods of time as well as the back seat. All are very comfortable. Just getting in the back seat can be a little difficult. The supercharged engine is felt more on the road, with cruise control on the car rolls. This car has the look and fell of a luxury/sports car..and it almost feels like it. This car is for someone who wants a luxury/sports car. But if you want a pure sports car you may want to go in another direction. Luxury it has, not to much but enough for me to be comfortable with and not worry about. Similar Products Used: Only other car I've driven is a toyota camry. Does not even compare. But I do like our camry. |

Strength:
Leather, CD player, Security System, Roomie interior, and a BIG trunk.
Weakness:
Paint Finish is terrible, small things that break cost mega $$$ to repair, Hard to change Oil, Speakers blow very easily, and the 'windy' sound that comes from the astroroof. This is my first car. I bought it from a used car dealership for about $1,000.00 more than I would of liked to. The car is a granny-mobile but its an absolutly wonderful to show off to your friends who are stuck driving P.O.S.'s. Being in High School people think your spoiled if your driving around in a Riviera...because heck, it's nicer than most of the facultys cars lol. Strength:
design, get up and go, roomy, comfortable
Weakness:
factory stereo sounds week and tinny, steering wheel controls don't work, why is there a speed governor??? I love the design - interior and exterior, and the fact that it is unique. You won't mistake it for any of the other bland 2door cars that have been coming out of Japan and Europe lately. This car has soul. Similar Products Used: None |
