Strength:
Fast, sporty, luxury, and one awesome looking car. A car that always wants to play! Extremely reliable and very well built. The car turns heads ever time I am at the light with people in ahh of the stylish design. To speak on the quality of Lexus: My parents have a 1991 Lexus LS400 with 190,000 miles that stills looks new with perfect paint and runs great.
Weakness:
To much plastic in the interior which tends to have some rattles over time. It is a sports car and drinks gas like a Nascar. You have to take it to Lexus to get the oil changed due to the way the oil filter is placed on the motor, but would you really want anyone else touching your Lexus! Maintance is not as much as a Mercedes, but it is a luxury car and may shock you if you are trading a Chevy for a Lexus. Tires only last 15,000 miles so expect to be replacing tires and remember they are the sporty low profile tires $$$$. I did a lot of research before buying my Lexus IS300 and it was the best car purchase I have ever made. I got the upgraded interior, fully loaded, custom chrome wheels, wood trim, and spoiler. The car handles well at 120 mph, very smooth, but once it goes past 110 mph its a more drawn climb to increase the speed. I have spoke with the Lexus machanics and they have told me this is a very reliable car and they have seen these engines with over 260,000 miles still going strong. The engine is same as Toyota used in the Supra for past ten years. This is a quality car, with style, luxury, speed, and just fun to drive. Lexus is also a name worth buying since the company treats their customers with world class service and that is important. Similar Products Used: Nissan Maximum, Ford Mustang, Cheverolet Corvette. |

Lexus IS 300
Strength:
Body styling, wheel and tire package available in chrome also, rear wheel drive is a plus. possible V8 and convertible coming soon
Weakness:
not enough luxury items for the interior, kind of bland. I don't own an IS 300, but I know this car very well because I work for a Lexus dealer in San Diego (Lexus Kearny Mesa). I work in the service department. One of the things I do is Pre-Delivery Inspections(PDI) on Lexus that come straight from the factory and I've inspected many IS 300's and they are very nice and has great horsepower to lay some rubber out on the street all under control with the very convienient VSC (Vehicle Stability Control). I speak for others when I say this is car the cr to have and forget about it's competition. Similar Products Used: N/A |

Weakness:
tight back seats, but who gives about the people sittin in the back I just bought the IS 300 a week ago, and this car is great. shifts smoothly, pick up is incredible. the car is so stable above 80 mph. to tell u guys the truth, you won't even notice that u're at 100 mph, that is how stable it is Similar Products Used: Acura TSX, but its not out yet |

IS300 Sportcross
Strength:
Fun to drive, Lexus and service, great stereo, fit and finish, quiet interior. Love the fact nobody has the sportcross and its utility is perfect for bikes and Ikea runs.
Weakness:
A wee bit thirsty for such a small car (why are the fuel economy ratings better on a GS430???). The options make it a little costly compared to the competition I love this car. I looked at everything under the sun and got a deal on a 2002 that I could not pass up. Everytime I drive the car I have a grin on my face (and it still has the snow tires on it). The best part is its quiet and comfortable when needed (commuting) and a true sports car when you feel like having some serious fun. Despite pervious comments I don't find it too bad in snow (snow tires, TRAC, Limited Slip and VDC sure help) Similar Products Used: VW Jetta GLX, Infiniti G20t, BMW 318ti, Saab 900S, 4Runner, Pathfinder, Golf GTI, etc. |

Love the car in the freeway, raced a Ford mustang went heads up with him, and then I handed his ass to him
Weakness:
The weekness is the back speaker they suck. "SORRY LEXUS THEY DO" LOL I’m 20 years old, been saving for the last year an a half for my car. Before I bought the Lexus is 300, I drove a Honda crx si with a GSR motor. I can’t compare the speed with the Lexus is 300, the crx was way faster, but the Lexus is 300 is a smoother ride for a long trip. The great thing about the Lexus is first it comes with a factory sport suspension and with an inline 6 for the quiet ride that it is. Similar Products Used: Bmw 330ci an a 2001 Honda accord |

Stereo is great. Ride is excellent. Interior is the classiest around. The look of the car is fantastic
Weakness:
Driving in the snow can be difficult. This car handles fantastically. It is smooth and quiet. Considered the BMW, but it could not compare to the lexus. The E-shift is awesome. I am young enough to enjoy the performance with the class the car has. Similar Products Used: BMW 3 series, A4, |

PRICE =( But well worth it! I test drove the new Lexus Is300 and I have nothing but good things to say. The car drives smooth, handles the curves, clutch engages smoothly, "sigh" i love this car. Similar Products Used: Test drove the Bmw M3 not bad but can't hang in my opinion. It's a couple of thousand $$$$$ more and only a few differences in my opinion. |

IS300 5 speed manual
Strength:
- The inline 6 is similar (or the same?) one used in the Supra, very good power band. -Smooth ride -Enough room for 4 passengers -Excellent value for the money -I think its just as good as a 330ci if not better.
Weakness:
-Clutch pedal is too close to the brake pedal for my taste -A 2 door model is needed for those of us without families -A longer warranty would be nice I decided to test drive the IS on the recommandation of alot of my friends. I previously drove a GS300. The IS300 is part of the Lexus family for sure: ride is very very smooth. I took the car around the block and then onto the freeway to see what it can do. The 3.0L Inline 6 responds very very quickly, low end was very impressive; The car moves very swiftly through the gears. The ride remains quiet and very comfortable. The only reason I'm going with a 350Z is performance reasons. Similar Products Used: 98 Toyota Camry 4 cyl: I can run faster than that car. 2000 Lexus GS300: this is the car I would like to take my friends around on Friday night. |

Strength:
Bang for the buck. Cool, different look. Controlled, fun oversteer with the TRAC turned off. Great engine noise.
Weakness:
Not quite as good as a bmw. Horrible gas mileage. Stereo should have been a little better. This is a fully functional babe laying machine! Women dig it! Superb engine and transmission. The BMW 330 is marginally better mechanically in that the engine feels more powerful and the shifter is more telepathic. But the bimmer is almost 9k more! But the lexus has more cool gadgets like the z rated tires, 6 disc in dash changer, digital compass, smog sensor Similar Products Used: bmw 3 series, saab 9-3 |
