Weakness:
transmission & trunk issues (with spoiler) Had transmission issues since day one. Brought car in for transmission "fix", but it had no effect on performance. Avoid getting rear spoiler on car as there are no hydraulics on trunk & it causes trunk to slam shut with the slightest touch. This major problem was reported to dealer because of the high risk to anyone leaning into trunk, however, they stated there is nothing they can do. Right now I am searching for another vehicle even though I have owned this car for less than 1 year. Similar Products Used: 1998 es300 (leased & enjoyed that car) |

Strength:
Long lasting engion and tranny, jap owned, free service loaner cars to abuse.
Weakness:
Too fast and comfortable, not very fast wipers and easy to nick paint, i wish it had optional onstar. This car is the best car in its class, It has also turned me in to an x-bmw fan, they are expencive and a pain to service. On the other hand lexus has #1 service and awesome resale value.The car is fast and smoothe, a deadly combination. I plan on keeping the car at 120k, i already 60k and it drives like new,hey it even smells new! My next car will also be a lexus unless ford buys toyota and then i guess i will have to get a bus pass or start walking. Similar Products Used: a one legged mule and a flying poney |

always in the market for future new car, thanks to all the bad press about the tranmissions in the 300es lexus i will have to pass on this make of car. If I'm going to pay 35K for a car I expect a perfect trans. oh and by the way infiniti is a really under rated car. if you want class, value, service, reliablilty, hauls ass. look no further!!!!!!!!!! Strength:
Everything totally reliable; engine, instrumentation, etc. Really shelters the outside noises when all windows are closed.
Weakness:
OK. One minor problem that drives me nuts. When you have the car washed, it takes about 24 hours for the windows to come up "clean". Always streaky until thoroughly dry. But Jaguar has the problem too. The most trouble-free car I've ever owned. I love my 2001 ES300 so much that I am buying a 2003 GS300 Sports edition tomorrow. Similar Products Used: Lincoln |

reliability, control, and good suspension control
Weakness:
tires/rims r too small.. a 15 or 16 " would be more suitable. the A/C is a little weird, its either too cold or too hot, i can never find the right temperature apart from the absolutely incredible exterior, the interior is extremely organized, elegant, with a great sound system for those who like to listen to a little something while going out for a drive. Top of the line leather , excellent finish. i must also mention the sleek head lights, which beam xenon blue lights. Strength:
Great style. Super smooth and quiet. Fabulous interior that just screams CLASS! So many extras that are, for the most part, standard equipment! Just a beautiful car.
Weakness:
It would be great if they offered more than a 3.0 210hp...however, it does seem to have plenty of "zip" when I need it. Beautiful car! My first Lexus and I hope I'll never have to drive any other car. Similar Products Used: I've never driven anything even close to the quality of this car! |
