Looks Fun to drive Information Technology to driver - amazing Sexy car when just cleaned!
Weakness:
Short on power for the engine size Expensive on fuel Low clearence Too small in the back A great car when it comes to luxury. The seats are comfortable, the stereo system is good, and so is the suspension system. Since it was bought i have had a few problems, mainly with the rotors which had to be changed within the first few months of ownership. However, that was taken care of through warranty. For a 1.8L turbo, its not the biggest on power, especially when compared to a car like the WRX which is only 200cc bigger, and yet has 57 more horse power. Thats mainly due to the small turbo in the A4. However, it still makes for a wonderful drive with great acceleration, especially in second gear. The quattro system is amazing, really giving the driver confidence going into a corner when snow or ice is on the road. Hard driving is fun in this little beast. Step on the gas, the front end pops up, and away you go. Not the most fuel efficent car, especially when you have to buy the most expensive fuel out there! Overall, its definatly a car I'm gonna look after, since I want to have it around for a long time. Similar Products Used: Acura 1.6L - Piece of junk compared to the audi |

Audi A4 1.8t
Strength:
Curbside appearance, we have the sport package with the 17" rims and Dolphin grey exterior. Superior customer service.
Weakness:
1. Annoying rattle from dash 2. Faulty coil packs 3. Unsmooth shifting (manual trans.) This is the first brand new car my wife and I have purchased. We were very excited to own what we thought was a fine, German sports car. The experiences however, have been very disheartening. Since we've owned this car it's been in the service center every 3-4 weeks. The first time was for squeeky brakes and annoying rattling from the dashboard. The squeeky brakes went away after 6k miles, and a half dozen visits they still haven't fixed the rattling. The most concerning problem has been whats known as a coil pack. The car started vibrating really bad one afternoon and the "check engine" light came on. The car needed to be flat beaded to the dealership and they replaced one of four coil packs. Since then this has happened two more times, but unfortunately, if the check engine light doesn't stay illuminated when it gets to the service center there's nothing they can check with their computer to figure out what's wrong with the car? Sounds odd and ineffective! Meanwhile, we've been driving around a rattling $30k + car that we're afraid to take on long distance trips! Audi has sent a newsletter to Audi owners verfying this coil pack is a known problem, but it's not yet a recall item because they don't have an alternative more relyable product to replace them with. We've also had a problem with shifting from neutral into first and from first to second. At times you have to struggle and muscle it into gear. Weakness:
Repairs. Squeaking windows, rattles, sun roof opens when it wants, quattro systems binds up on road trips. Dealer service is poor and because of that I will not buy another. There are too many good cars out there. Audi lost market share several years ago with the sudden accelerationproblems. They will loose it again with poor service. Styling, fit, finsih, interior etc all fine Power and handling are very good. |

Audi A4 1.8TQ
Strength:
Superior build quality. Great engine at an affordable price. Interior is best in the market.
Weakness:
They pulled a few options that I was expecting to get like heated rear seats and lumbar support. I could not be happier with this car. I have had three trucks in a row and was a little apprehensive about getting a smaller car. After getting it, I've found the room to be more than enough. I'm impressed. The car handles like a dream and I am shocked at how quick and smooth a four cylinder is. This is by far the most refined car that I've ever owned. |

Everything.
Weakness:
Reliability slightly subpar. Incredible car. Loved everything about the car. Only one problem: had to replace 6 instrument panels, 4 batteries, alternator, steering rack, cam shaft tensioner seals, engine computer, climate control computer, catalytic converter, turn signal stalk, turn signal flasher, tiptronic switch, stereo, 2 speakers, coolant reservoir, coolant temperature sensor, fuel guage sending unit, passenger seat bushings, 2 passenger side CV boots. Total of non warranty repairs paid: $5,000 in 2 years and 49,000 miles. When I got rid of the car I had a check-engine light caused by an EGR secondary return pipe (estimate was $570), a 5 year old timing belt which was just put back on the car during the $800 cam shaft tensioner seal replacement, and my A/C worked intermittantly after $2,000 in failed attempts to fix an ambient temperature display that didn't work. I now drive a Lexus IS300. No comparison to the Audi but I haven't had it serviced yet - almost 12 weeks now. Don't think the Audi ever made it that long. Damn... still loved every drive in that A4 though. Too bad most of my driving was to bring the car in for service. Similar Products Used: There is nothing else like it. |

WE loved the handling and smooth style of this car. However after several months we started to experience electrical problems with the car. These ranged from a repeatedly dying battery to an inablility to shift gears. After having it fixed four times, we gave up and got rid of it.....we probably just got dealt a lemon, but I will never buy an Audi again. |

Strength:
-Gorgeous, meticulously assembled interior -Decent performance from 2.8 V6 -Smooth 5-speed manual transmission -Beautifully styled and proportioned exterior -Precise steering -Incomparable all-wheel-drive system -6 setting heated seats -Thick, leather wrapped steering wheel -Stunning nightime illumination of instruments and controls -Excellent visibility -Good cargo room -Good, if not bass-overboosted, Bose hi-fi -Excellent handling, wet or dry -Anti-snob appeal -Solid construction and flawless build-quality -Multiple safety systems: airbags everywhere, ABS, quattro, pre-tensioner seat belts, traction control, etc... -Perfectly damped grab handles -Unique...I rarely see one on a daily basis
Weakness:
-mini spare tire -rattles from cargo area -oil consumption (although predictably, Audi says this is "up to spec") -overly complicated climate controls -A few minor reliablity issues: leaking windshied fluid resevoir and loss of pre-set memory settings on radio tuner -Smallish back seat -Erratic climate control I never thought I would lust after a wagon but even after 2 years I'm still in love with my A4. It is not perfect, but like any truly interesting person its idiosyncrasies are easily outweighed by its wonderful character. It is the perfect anti-SUV. Like many German cars it is a bit over-engineered but I'll take that over the inadequate engineering of most domestic and Asian cars. |

A4 2.8 Quattro
Weakness:
Lack of leg room at the rear I have a Audi 2.8 V6 quattro with sport package, xenon lights and convenient package. This car is powerful, safe and the quattro is just amazing~ Eventhough some people might complain about the 4WD being a gas gobbler, but it provide the ultimate handling and safety especially in wet and slippery weather. Overall, A4 is one of the best car on this planet!! Similar Products Used: Mercedes C-Class |
