Toyota Prius v Wagon Hybrid | EV
DESCRIPTION
Prius V, the second model in an expanded Prius line of hybrids.
The Prius v wagon is a larger version of Toyota's wildly popular Prius hybrid sedan. With seating for five and significantly more cargo room than the standard model. The 2012 Toyota Prius v drives and handles like the “regular†Prius hatchback. While it’s considerably bigger in wheelbase and length, as well as slightly taller and wider, it’s not notably different to drive. The Prius V uses the same 98-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and Toyota Hybrid Synergy drive system as the hatchback, along with a very slightly reshaped nickel-metal-hydride battery pack mounted under the front of the load-deck floor.
The fuel economy estimate for the Prius v is 44 mpg city, 40 mpg highway, for a combined rating of 42 mpg.
