This car has some of the best looks from a sports car I have ever seen and it looks even nicer with the top down. I have driven a lot of cars in my day and this was the most fun one to drive. The one thing i really like is that girls love this car and can't wait to take a ride in it. For me i like the sound system and the speed of the car.

The Z3 has looks greater then all of the BMW Z4s and a lot of other sports cars the are of equal or higher value (TT, 350Z, S2000, Sky). I would recommend the BMW Z3 to every one.

This is a sweet ride! Love it. The controls are exactly where they need to be, the interior of the car wraps around you like a sports car should. Forget about the Lexus's with navigation / stearing wheel radio controls ...etc... this is a sport car - you want to hear the engine roar!

I absolutely love this car! It is a REAL sportscar! I wanted to get a license plate saying "REAL Z" .... this car has more class, style and soul than any Nissan 350Z will ever have! Driving with the top down, listening to the engine when you have it in 3rd and gently tap the accelerator - awesome feeling! The car has great pick and handles extremely well. I am a car fanatic, and must say that I have finally found a true sportscar in every way! I test drove the Boxster, TT, 350Z (huge dissapointment) and definetely prefer my Z3!

Excellent handling and road feel. This car wants to be DRIVEN! Quality engineering. Ergonomically, everything is layed out perfectly in this car. Easy/quick operation of power top. Nice sounding growl from the engine.

Few electronic bugs... left parking light went out after 2 months, interior light also went out. Service Engine Soon light appeared for no apparant reason (car was running fine). CD player skips with evern the smallest bumps in the road. Front wheels get dirty within 2-3 days of normal city driving.

Excellent handling, timeless style, inspiring drive. No frills but plenty of thrills. This is the kind of car I hope to keep for a lifetime, assuming reliability and quality engineering hold.

Agility, acceleration and it takes curves like it is on a rail. Attracts attention wherever it is parked.

Rear plastic window (a few scratches) but it is easy and inexpensive to replace. Radio is OK but not A+

I've owned a 1957 corvette, 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL and this 1998 Z3 (2.8L). The Z3 is the champ! Just drove it from Chicago to Florida through the Smokies and the Carolina mountains. Fast, agile and glued to the asphalt! Fanatastic car!

phenominal driving experiance and mechanical ... I've owned several VERY expensive sports cars and honestly get allot more attention in a Z3 , I think it makes guys look allot more attractive to girls than any other car ... Dodge vipers & corvets = meat head to most girls BMW Z3 = romantic weekend get-aways with a fantacy man. If you want to date Many beautiful girls way out of your league , get a Z3. its the only car out there right now with the FULL PACKAGE. no matter how much money you have , nothing will top this car.

just like allot of convertables ( the Rear plastic window ) BMW did make it a realy easy and cheep replacment ... so it doesnt bother me one bit ... its only about 80 bucks to throw a brand new one on there and takes them no more than 5 min to do. and also like most cars ... the Stock sound system should be replaced with sompthing better.

Its a realy clssy dream car , I'm 38 and have owned ALLOT of cars in my time usualy 2 at a time ... all european ... I've realy never liked north-american cars ... I can honestly say that this is the Best all around and funnest car ive ever owned , mines Black 2.8L auto I bought it in perfict shape 51k miles sport 2 tone power heated seats , The car Drives like it was built for an emperior. Not to much else to say about it other than its one of the few cars I plan on keeping for life. its also exceptionaly well made. If your choosing between an older z3 and a new z4 do your self a favour and get a z3 ... I've had both ... the z3 will be around for ever and only climb in value ... its much much stronger mechanicaly , and will get 10 times more atention ... the car looks like it has claws ready to tear the road up just at a stand still ... but in all honesty if the z3 drove like a winded dog youd still feel more alive driving it than a turbo 911 ( take my word on it )

Classic Style, simple but functional interior. 3.0i engine is perfect! No mechanical problems yet!

Low Clearance for my road conditions. Stereo is weak, got the 6 CD changer in trunk with Cassette in dash. Plastic rear window is really scratched and blurred. Rear Mirror blocks vision ahead. Limited trunk space, but hey, who is bringing the kids and in-laws along?

Definitely a fast and fun car. Very quick and responsive. I live in the mountains of Central America and the roads are fantastic for this car!

Accelleration (3.0 liter), looks, interior comfort.

Not up to German BMW build standards. Some unexpected quality issues (generally addressed by dealer after some prompting).

Incredible sports car look and feel. Great performance in the 3.0 version. Acceptable handling, but betrays it's roots as an older design. This is my second Z3. I test-drove the competition - SLK (boring/heavy/slow), Boxster (too pricy), TT (basically a Golf Cabrio for guys), Z4 (better handling, but ugly as sin), S2K (close, but smaller inside).

Looks great, handles great, engine response is very good for size. I really cant complain for a 6 yr old car.

Interior gripes mostly but not worth the effort. no worries mate.

At a stand still it looks fast, i got the 1.9. I know most of you top guns need speed. I find the car a pleasure to drive. it has plenty of speed but it handles like a BMW should.
