Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $999.00 from Sound Advice

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 603x

Summary:
Hi, it s me again five years later. The amps (yes, plural!) are still going strong after all this time. I would still say whatever I said before. I was so please with this amp that I went ahead a got me a second one. Now I have one running my boston pros in the from with one of the boston pro 12" sub, and the other running my boston pros in the rear with the other boston pro sub. I noticed you can get this amps very cheap on ebay, just don't confuse the 603x with the x603, the later one is not very good. There is probably one thing I would have done diferently in my selection of the amps, I may have gone with the 604x and the 1000x (i think) instead of the two 603x's. Honestly I did not need the second amp, but it is always noce to have that extra power just in case I need it.

Strengths:
Clear and powerful sound, very reliable in the five years I've the amps. What else do you need in an amp?

Weaknesses:
The chrome finish is very nice, but it is hard to keep clean. Big deal!

Similar Products Used:
After using these amps I have had no insterest in other amps.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $725.00

Summary:
I just got this amp and love the sound. I am runing MB Quart speakers and the sound is crystal clear. My local sound shop wanted to sell me another brand but I held my guns and went for this amp. I am glad I did. After some strong negotiations I got it for a reasonable price, don't tell them but I was ready to pay more for a sound this good.

Strengths:
Great clean sound, this is the perfect amp for a one footprint soulution. I got this amp because I wanted ultra-high quality sound and it has exceeded my expectations.

Weaknesses:
None

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $999.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 603x

Summary:
Plain great, I highly recommend it!

Strengths:
Clean power. Makes the bass snappy and hard hitting. The sound is very clear, so clear that i use my HU flat. It can get as loud as you want, and then some without any distortion whatsoever. I run two sets of Boston pros, and a boston pro sub. It is the best one amp system i have ever had.

Weaknesses:
I cannot turn it all the way up, it hurts :p

Similar Products Used:
ads, soundstream, ppi

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $999.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Summary:
The XTANT 603x is the best one amp system out there today besides the Mcintosh 4000m but who could afford that. The xtant amp is the best thousand i have spent because it is an investment. It comes with 5 year warranty. I will put it in my next car and the car after that. It is a wise buy.

Strengths:
The amp produces a tramendous amount of clean power, 75watts x 2, plus 150 watts x 1 at 4ohms. It is the best three channel amp out there that acts like a five channel. Does not but a strain on stock pep boys battery. Best sound reproduction i have heard in any of my amp that i have owned. Expansion is awesome as well, i have added a low frequency mod, parametric eg mod, that plug right into the amps board.

Weaknesses:
after a month of owning it, the board had to be replaced becuase the mono channel went out, the store where i bought it replaced it in a half an hour so it was not a huge problem. It comes with a five year warranty.

Similar Products Used:
infinity beta 100, great sub amp at a cheap price. Kenwood amp, suck really bad it over heated to much. U.s Acoustic 4 x 50 Watts, great amp for a cheap price, good quality sound. Rockwood, need i say more. this amp was cheap and played really bad.
