Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Jensen IC8010 Intellicar

Summary:
This reciever is the most underappreciated stereo on the market. because it is a Jensen product, many people will overlook it. the Intellicar system allows this radio to have Audio Video Switching, wireless 900mhz headphones, and rf remote control, and a 6 disk cd changer. the optional accessories can be connected "daisy chain" style to the stereo, and they do not require any additional wiring. no power wires needed for the AV switcher or the ch600u cd changer. The RF remote also makes the unit very versitile. with the wireless headphones the unit can be used "multi zone" and have one audio source coming from the speakers, and a different source coming from the headphones (perfect for a child in teh backseat to listen to and watch a movie and the rest of the vehicle listening to music). I bought this radio from Crutchfield.com a few months back. the deck cost $149, and the headphones, av switcher, rf remote were all included ($375 worth of accessories). and since it was crutchfield they included the vehicle specific wiring harness, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. the best deal i've found.

Strengths:
45 watts per channel, very versitile. no extra power sources needed for A/V switcher or CD changer. wireless headphones, RF remote, pre-outs.

Weaknesses:
only works with one cd changer (jensen ch600u), no MP3 or dolby digital audio (but since its not dvd its understandable).

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
Jensen Jensen Intellicar IC8010 CD Player

Summary:
It might not be the best looking reciever, but it sure sounds great. It has an internal amp which actually helps show the difference between the original radio. It could be better looking, and the eject button sometimes is hard to press.

Strengths:
Very easy to use. Good sound quality. Warranty and easy customer service.

Weaknesses:
Not visually stimulating. Doesn't read MP3 scanned discs.
