Review 1 of 549

Summary:
(pre 1997 Model) - I'll be the first to admit it, but it was the styling that got me to buy the van. Compared to what was out there at the time, it was quite beautiful (and still is). And the price was very reasonable. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Cabin noise is very bad and the car itself is not particularily well built. Also, after only one winter here in Quebec, the car immediately began to show signs of rust. Other things that bugged me were its pea-sized gas tank and the day-time headlights which burned out faster than cheap XMas lights. Otherwise, it is a car that holds its own and gets you and your cargo from point A to point B.

Strengths:
Styling is second to none. Price is on-target.

Weaknesses:
Too noisy and quality is questionable.

2006 dodge grand caravan

Summary:
In shop as we speak third time for transmission seals leaking. Instead of fixing the real problem they just keep putting more seals in. This van has 15,000 miles on it. Chyrsler does not seem to care either so I guess I will just keep taking it back.

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
Apparently a transmission problem that noone can or will fix

Review 4 of 549

Price Paid:  $22000.00 from Dave Dennis Chrysler

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Dodge Caravan

Summary:
I bought this car brand new in Feb. of '06 and it has been nothing but a pain in the rear. There is a huge problem with it that the dealership cannot seem to fix. The car will shut off sometimes while driving it. The brakes and steering wheel lock up. It has happened about 10-15 times and we've had it in the shop 4 times. It has happened on a highway with two small children in the van and luckily there was nobody behind us. This van is totally unsafe to drive. The dealership has not been any help at all and I refuse to do any type of business with them ever again.

Strengths:
none

Weaknesses:
car shuts off while driving. very unsafe.

Review 5 of 549

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Dodge Caravan

Summary:
I bought this van 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I had to replace the Water Pump at the Crysler Dealer on La Brea in Los Angeles. Once repaired when picking the van up I heard a little noise which I paid no attention to. Less than 2 weeks later the van stopped on me. The same dealership told me it was the Can Sensor and Fuel Pump, which I had to replace. When I picked the van up there was still a little noise but I was told I would have to pay $90.00 to have it checked! I took it to an independent repair shop and found out there is an oil leak and who knows what else because they can not do a diagnostic test until Monday!! I don't recommend this van to anyone.

Strengths:
A BIG FAT ZERO (0)

Weaknesses:
Everything. Even the outside of the car dings easily.
