Price Paid:  $24500.00 from Keffer Chrysler Char

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Pacifica

Summary:
Very nice highway cruiser and commuter vehicle. Rides similar to the old Mercedes E class it borrowed suspension components from. I have the old 300M motor in mine. It is very good for highway speeds but not to quick off the line. A vehicle like this is not suppose to be a drag racer anyway. Drove it an a 3,200 mile trip from North Carolina through much of eastern Canada. It is any easy car to drive at 80 mph for 12 hours without getting cramped. The car had no problems with West Virginia mountains in power or handling. I have a fairly plain version without many electronic extras. It is also 2wd. It also averaged 22 mpg on 89 octane fuel. Not bad fully loaded with 4 people and all their gear. We didn't drive slow. I feel that this car is very much the 2004 equal to the 1972 Olds Custom Cruiser. A dependable, luxurious family hauler. The only difference is the Pacifica is much less expensive adjusted for inflation and gets much better gas mileage.

Strengths:
Comfort, easy of driving, fuel mileage for the interior room, many ac connections and large cup holders for traveling. Price.

Weaknesses:
None noted for the size and weight of the vehicle.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $42500.00 from Chrysler Dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Pacifica

Summary:
My parents bought the car in early march. Got AWD version loaded with leather, 6cd/dvd, power liftgate, leather, power everything, 385 watt stereo,Navigation. Car is black exterior and black leather interior. Car rides like a dream. It floats along the road and takes bumps surprisingly well. Car also corners exceptionally well for an SUV, i can make turns on a dime in the car. Have had one major problem with the car which was that the air conditioning seems to be blowing warm air. Took car to dealer for service and they said that the car was perfectly okay. They had to be wrong because the air is very warm, an issue if you are considering this vehicle. I am not sure if the air is actually supposed to be as warm as it is, but i doubt it because with climate control at 65, the air is still up around 75/80.

Strengths:
Great Ride, Front Styling is nice, nicely appointed interior, i use dvd system for long trips to play PS2 if im not driving, stereo is pretty good, nav under gauges.

Weaknesses:
the back of the car is kind of ugly, car is very much underpowered, bottom needs to be body color, air conditioning not working properly
