Strength:

Power, looks, interior, durability

Weakness:

3rd row seating a tight squeeze for adults.

I have owned this car since 2003 and have had no problems with it. It handles great in problematic weather and drives very smooth on the highway. The interior is how a Cadillac should be; all leather, heated seats, etc. The power on this beast is amazing. I have twiced raced my friend in his 97 mustang and beat him. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is willing to pay the big bucks for a nice luxury suv.

Strength:

403 HP, still better gas mileage than my Navigator was, back up camera, EVERYTHING!

Weakness:

I have already had the Navigation system stereo replaced 3 times in 3,000 miles because it freezes and sometimes refuses to play sound. Cadillac dealers give you the red carpet treatment with this new state-of-the-art Escalade though. Also, for $61k, they should have a better way to remove the 3rd row besides lifting out (2) 100-lb seats and smashing your fingers on them constantly.

THEY BROKE THE MOULD WHEN THEY MADE THE 2007! This car is spectacular! I bought the 03 Navigator when it first debut in showrooms back in 2002 and I never thought I would find a truck I loved as much as the Navigator. I didn't really care for older Escalades, although I owned a 99 Denali, practically the same thing. The 403 HP in this beast has handed Mercedes S430's their "rear-ends" maybe I am just a better driver? The back up camera, the XM, the heated & cooled seats, the entertainment system, the 22's from the factory, I can't say enough good things about it, it is a day and night difference. I am kind-of petty I had a "disagreement" with a little kid at the carwash recently when he said it looks like a Toyota, he wished he didn't say that after I flipped out and told him he was on crack! I am a young entrepreneur and get A LOT of strange looks from people about me driving this car, I swear to God, if one more person asks if my parents bought it for me, I will FLIP OUT! I am shocked that it has 103 more HP than my Navigator, weighs about 1,000 lbs less and still gets about 14 mpgs!! Impressive.

Parks like a midsize car. Plenty of "giddy-up"! Turning raidus.

Weakness:

really need the rear parking sensors to work unless your good at judging at your parking distance.

This was a Christmas Gift I will never forget! I have driven RWD or 4X4's since I learned to drive. I used to be a Saleswoman for a dealership that sold Cadillac, but left in 2000 so when I saw the newly renovated 2002 in my driveway I was thrilled! I will admit that already having 50K things were "worn in" a bit, but from other Escalade owners, that's just barly the tip of the iceburg. I've been able to experiance all types of driving conditions here in Maine and there is NOTHING this thing won't go through! For the first time I have felt extremely relaxed driving in blizzard conditions. No roads plowed? no problem! The weight of the vehicle the rumble of the V8 engine and the stabilitrack is extremely reassuring. I've tried to make it slide and it's extremely difficult. If I had a million dollars, I would buy one for everyone in my family.

Handles emergency steering well. Comfortable ride. Smooth on all roads. Starts the instant I turn the key.

Weakness:

The mechanics at the dealerships. They are not fully knowledgeable on SUVs.

Originally leased this vehicle. Loved it so much,I bought it after the lease. Now have almost 82,000 miles on it. I just have it serviced every 3000 mile, and I had the brakes replaced at 77,000 miles. All the problems I had were caused by the dealer's mechanics. One of them shorted out my electrical system (while I was standing next to him, which caused the computer and starter to need replacing). They damaged my front brakes (twice). They melted my grill and cracked my fog lights. All this happened within 1200 miles. I switched dealers (using GOLDCOAST now). We took this car to Disney World, FLA. in 2003, with no problems. Last month, we drove our youngest child to Arkansas to attend college, stayed a week and drove home (put on over 3000 miles), still no problems. Both trips took 2 days one way (we live on the Jersey shore). Have no fluid loss or oil leaks. My wife and I keep looking at new SUV's, but we just can't seem to let go of this one.

nice looking vehicle has a lot of power when it dose run..

Weakness:

overall, I have never owned a vehicle that has needed to be in the shop as much as this vehicle has. I take very good care of the vehicles that I own and no matter what it didn't matter with this one it continues to go back. this concers me because I am very interested in keeping my vehicle because I really want to purchase the new convertible but with this being my first gm product it scares me to go down that road again, that is I can make it down the road. really don't know if I'll ever buy a GM product again

This vehicle has been a living hell for me and I started out as a true believer of this vehicle. I have had to replace the transmission only after a little over 50,000 miles and since then my vehicle has been in the shop no less than 8-10 times for the vehicle stalling out on me.. First it was stalling while driving at 55 mph now the vehicle has been stalling while idling, parking, backing up, oh did I for get to mention that it has it days when it wants to turn over. I've spent numerous money on the vehicle replacing parts and the same problem still occurs. I'm looking for any one else who is experiencing these same problems so I know how to present my situation to General Motors...

Strength:

Durability; road noise; comfort; heated seats and lumbar support; separate rear seat sound for kids; traction

Weakness:

Fuel pump noise; could use a little more horsepower; rear drum brakes;

Bought new. One of the first on car lots. Have driven it since March 1999, has 100,000 miles on and trying to decide whether to buy the new ESV, or drive it for another year or two! The ONLY problem has been with the brakes.....having discs turned every 25,000 miles and brake pads replaced. Fortunately had the front brake rotors replace under warranty at 50 K miles. I have towed trailers and boats (I am a hunting enthusiast) across the country, and put boats and cargo on top, loaded it down with never any problems. Great Bose stereo! Have used 4-wheel drive often and has great traction distribution.

Weakness:

gas mileage in the city; 3rd row seat not easily accessible and not for adults(but its ok because I usually ride alone anyway); access to gas cap should lock; rear end suspension could be sturdier

i love it and so does everyone else. excellent service at dealership; even mr. stewart makes himself available. my drawback is that my paint(white diamond) has chipped in three places; (very faint, but noticeable to me); dealer did repair this, though, not perfectly.
