$0.00 Year / Model Reviewed: 1995 Acura Integra Summary: The Comptech piece is a very good starting point for making the DC chassis great. If you have one modification to your suspension (other than tires), this should be it. Personally, I find no advantages over running a stock Integra R sway bar, which is what I now run on my SCCA Solo2 car (with adjustable shocks of course); the Comptech is 3 times the price, and the factory end links provide the perfect feel for the Type-R part.
Most people talk about swinging the rear end in corners; this is not the point. Look for the adjustment that makes the car the most stable. I have found that with the 22mm rear bar the car is actually less tail-happy -- the rear end can keep up witht the front's motion as you change directions rapidly. The rear end can be suddley stepped out on request, without entering a corner with too much speed in order to command it, and more speed can be carried through the corner. Best of all, this mod makes the car easy to drive fast. Who wants to get embarrased, and who likes to feel great about their skills? Strengths: Adjustable (only a plus if you have adjustable shocks - stock is a good setting!) Weaknesses: -Price, but if you can afford nice springs and some good-quality shocks, this should not be too bad.
-Quality? Why not a stock part available from your local friendly Acura dealership? Once again cost is around $100. Similar Products Used: 2000 Integra-R rear sway bar and custom mounts I made in my garage
