Internally, Turanza LS tires featured a Computer Optimized-Component System (CO-CS) that optimizes tread design, casing shape, materials and manufacturing methods to improve handling and treadwear. Turanza LS tires featured twin, high-tensile steel belts with spiral-wrapped nylon reinforcement to stabilize the tread area and enhance handling, high speed capability and ride quality while minimizing weight. Additionally, a single strand of steel that is spirally wound forms Bridgestone’s O-Beads that are rounder for a better fit to the wheel and to further enhance handling and ride quality.
