Review 1 of 1 Year / Model Reviewed: '96 Integra GS-R Summary: I got the kit from KVR in Canada for approx. $1200. It is a very good kit, everything fit correctly. It comes with two Wilwood Dynalite calipers, Agip brake fluid (but it's not that great). I recommend the Performance Friction fluid. Also supplied are two stainless steel, braided and covered in plastic (so they won't chip on the street), brake lines, and one set of Wilwood's own polymatrix pads. They are the street variety and although sufficient for the road, on a roadcourse they died within an hour of track time. Now for the street I use Perf. Friction's Z rated high perf. street pads. The rotors supplied are 12.2" vented units from Coleman Racing, w/ aluminum anodized hats. The rotors are coated in gold-colored material which is there just to protect the area that's not swept by the pads. The options are of having them: drilled, slotted, or both. I chose slotted (6 slots on each side). Overall, other than the weak bleeder screws (maybe I overtighten them) the kit is superb. More braking than an Integra will ever need.
Strengths: Great stopping power, ease of installation, pads are easy to change, beefy construction Weaknesses: Because the stock master cylinder is mismatched with the brakes you need to bleed the system every month or two to have that rock-hard pedal feel. The braking does not diminish, though. The bleeder screws are not the strongest, if they are not used too often (winter driving season) they will seize and next time that you'll try to bleed the system the screw won't budge and just break off. Need to order extras (2 per caliper, at $15 each, and then replace the entire fitting.) Similar Products Used: n/a
