Price Paid:  $400.00 from modacar

Year / Model Reviewed:
1992 Honda Civic SI (HB)

Summary:
4-2-1 1 peace is a great mod.I feel a pull about 5 grand (sounds great when V-tech kicks in) untill i shift. very little hp but looks great under hood.it is a must have. Extremely easy to install about about 45 mins with two people (pulling 02 sensor out of the OEM manifold with out breaking it, was the hard part) it is also stronger than ceramic header, so if your car is low like mine you dont need it to crack (i have sraches on my OEM manifold)

Strengths:
-looks better than stock manifold -sound -stronger than ceramic -lighter than OEM

Weaknesses:
-Header will stain DO NOT TOUNCH IT WITH BARE HAND -litte power for price -need new gasket and new nuts(nuts not needed but putting old greased up nut on your new header is a no no)

Similar Products Used:
AEM V2

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $396.00 from cartunerz.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Honda Civic

Summary:
I've got to say, with the new headers my car sounds, feels, and drives different. I don't know about you other Automatic civic drivers but my car has stalling period in between 2800rpm and like 3700rpm where my car wont go anywhere. well now when you mash on the pedal... no stick up the rpms rev up to 7k in a hurry. If anyone wants to buy the stock headers email me!

Strengths:
Cool Golden color( http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_a/235000-235999/235389_56_full.jpg ) makes the car faster...by how much? I can't say never dyno'd the car. But its much better than stock

Weaknesses:
none really but since i had the one piece i couldnt do it myself because my jack stands weren't high enough. Oh well

Similar Products Used:
Stock...not really

Price Paid:  $400.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99 civic si

Summary:
The dc sports s.s. header is a great add on....put it on with a dc catback and an iceman c.a. intake.....gains were very noticeable in the high end with nothing lost down low in my opinion. If u shift high enough in the gears there is a nice rumble out of the exhaust....it sounds sick.Happy with the purchase.

Strengths:
good power great sound light weight

Weaknesses:
a little too expensive thats about it so far

Similar Products Used:
stock

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Preludeparts.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 98 Prelude H22A

Summary:
Great looking pipes, turning a nice golden color, have seen that eventually they'll turn to a nice blue-chrome look. Everyone ooo's and ahhh's when you pop the hood. Looks 10x's better than the ceramic headers.

Strengths:
Looks. Power gains were there, but they weren't appalling. I wasn't expecting Knight Rider or anything, but I did put these on at the same time as a cat back system from Thermal. Already have an intake. It was a nice mod.

Weaknesses:
Increased underhood temperatures.

Similar Products Used:
Had stock exhaust manifold beforehand. Ugly!

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $400.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1997 Honda Civic EX

Summary:
The first thing I noticed after test-driving the car with my new header was, "Wow!" The improvement was pretty astounding; the engine revved more freely, and the car accelerated a lot quicker from 3500RPM all the way to redline. I was very impressed with the overall power gains. This, combined with my AEM cold-air intake (now scrapped for the AEM short-ram), A'PEXi N1 cat-back exhaust, and AEM pulley kit, really made my car come alive. It's not exactly a GS-R killer, but it's faster than stock, haha.

Another minor gain was noise; it made my N1 exhaust a few decibels louder, and it made its raspy exhaust note even raspier. Since then, I've installed the stick-in silencer for my N1 to quiet it down and semi-deepen the tone, and I've still noticed good power gains (read: in the high-end).

Strengths:
-Good quality
-Good fit
-Very noticeable power gains
-I like how it turns gold, =P
-CARB legal in all 50 states

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Stock header ... obviously, there's no real comparison, LOL.
