from Pep Boys Year / Model Reviewed: Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish; Scratch-X; Gold Class Clear Coat Car Wax Summary: I have a Black Mercedes, a Metallic (Dark) Blue Lexus, and a White Honda Accord. This product must be used as directed. Start with the Scratch-X to remove oxidation and swirls; continue with Deep Crystal Polish to polish; then wax with any wax (but I used the Gold Class clear coat wax).
The results are stunning. I have a black mirror on one car and a deep blue car that looked better than when I drove it off the lot. It was not as noticable on the white car however -- this polish works best on darker colors. I tried the wax by itself; the results were very good. Then I added the polish and it worked better. Finally, after several attempts -- I did it as directed and received the stunning result. All scratches and swirls on the Mercedes are gone. To get the best result, apply a thin layer of the polish and work it in -- don't put too much on to allow to dry. Wipe it in/off and then apply the wax. Allow the wax to stay on at least 20 mins before buffing off. By the way, use different applicators for each product. The products are easy to apply and take off -- and the results are great. Allow for time and labor to complete the work -- it's labor intensive. Suggest using an orbital buffer. Strengths: Professional showroom shine. Looks better than when I bought the car. Ease of application/buffing. Weaknesses: Products can be a little "stronger." Polish is a bit weak compared to the "professional" version. Similar Products Used: Turtle Wax; Eagle one; Mother's; Rally; etc
