Summary:
My Red Taurus had massive oxidation issues with the hood and top of the car. After applying the polish and wax, my car was almost in perfect shape. Unless you look extremely hard and long you would never know the clearcoat was almost gone. the results were so amazing my neighbor asked me to do the same to his 2006 Black Dodge Charger. The car looked extremely clossy and the wax made waterspots almost impossible!

Strengths:
Awesome three step system that is affordable.

Weaknesses:
You need to apply all three steps at the same time so it's time consuming

Summary:
I have tried several products on my 15 year old paint. Mothers clay bar, Automagic polymer coating to name a few. Mother clay bar made my paint smooth as glass. I didnt notice any diference in the paint itself though. Automagic was easy to use and effectivley cleaned out contaminents. Again, no diference in shine or gloss. Then I decided to try Meguirs 3 step system. I bought step 1 and 2. At first I applied the polish to my car. The results were excellent. i could see the polish created a wet look. It created something similar to what the Automagic Polymer coating gave. Nothing fantastic. Then I tried the paint cleaner and the polish. The results were stunning. The paint looked so sharp and silky smooth. From far away it looked like my car was a black mirror. It hid all swirl marks and minor scatches. It brought out the shine and made my car look like it was "wet", basically giving it that fresh clearcoat look. I didnt bother buying the wax, but i plan on buying Meguiars gold glass wax as I heard it deepens the color of the paint. This product is well worth the money if you own a black or dark colored car. Otherwise, it may not be worth your time or money.

Summary:
I have a Black Mercedes, a Metallic (Dark) Blue Lexus, and a White Honda Accord. This product must be used as directed. Start with the Scratch-X to remove oxidation and swirls; continue with Deep Crystal Polish to polish; then wax with any wax (but I used the Gold Class clear coat wax). The results are stunning. I have a black mirror on one car and a deep blue car that looked better than when I drove it off the lot. It was not as noticable on the white car however -- this polish works best on darker colors. I tried the wax by itself; the results were very good. Then I added the polish and it worked better. Finally, after several attempts -- I did it as directed and received the stunning result. All scratches and swirls on the Mercedes are gone. To get the best result, apply a thin layer of the polish and work it in -- don't put too much on to allow to dry. Wipe it in/off and then apply the wax. Allow the wax to stay on at least 20 mins before buffing off. By the way, use different applicators for each product. The products are easy to apply and take off -- and the results are great. Allow for time and labor to complete the work -- it's labor intensive. Suggest using an orbital buffer.

Strengths:
Professional showroom shine. Looks better than when I bought the car. Ease of application/buffing.

Weaknesses:
Products can be a little "stronger." Polish is a bit weak compared to the "professional" version.

Summary:
I have metallic navy blue paint. It looks black unless the sun hits it. I purchased the car used and it was covered in swirl marks. I used the full 3 step process and a LOT of elbow grease. The results were stunning! Incredibly deep liquid shine with no swirl marks!

Strengths:
Excellent results. Adds great depth and shine.

Weaknesses:
A LOT of work to apply correctly but well worth the time and effort.

Summary:
I bought my black honda as a lease return. It had swirl marks that I didn't see on the day I bought it. 1)Used the remaining Turtle wax car wash that I had before I read up on Mequiar's product. 2) used Mequiar Scratch X ($14.99) to do the worst scratches in the car. 3) Polished the car with Mequiar's Step 2 polish, ($12.99) 4) Waxed car with Mequiar's Gold Class liquid Car wax, ($19.99)

Strengths:
Car is shinier then new. It's almost like looking at a black mirror. The Scratch X and polish REALLY work great.

Weaknesses:
It took 4 hours to do from beginning to end and is a bit pricey. $55 for the products. To bring it to an auto detailer would have been over double the price though.
