I''ve had my Infinitys for almost a month now and have had a real good experience with them. Before buying them, I compared them to Polk''s EX602A and Boston Acoustic''s FX6. I''ve heard so much about Boston Acoustic being one of the best there is, but when I listened to them at Ultimate Electronics against the 652i, the Infinity won over, and the sales clerk had to agree with me. Piercing highs and clear, responsive lows. I''m not an expert on car audio but these sound REALLY good. They fill every inch of the car with full, rich music. I have a pair of Pioneer TS-A1666 3-ways (weak bass) in the front and these make a good combination of highs and the Infinity''s lows. I''ve read negative reviews on the 652is, but could not find anything in that price range that sounded better. I have yet to test their durability. I''m not big on loud music so I expect they should last. Excellent product. I would definitley recommend them to a friend, they brought a smile to my face.

Summary:
These Speakers are simply great. I was running 4 6.5" 652i's off of my head unit (no amp as of yet), and even with ~17W RMS per channel, these things kicked hard. In fact, after I had them installed, and showed them to a sales person down @ car toys, he asked me, "How large is your woofer?". The main thing that keeps these from sounding *excellent* is the install job. For example, my front door speakers were using the OEM grill, and that restricted the cone flux, causing the speakers to sound good from mid-range to high, but in the back, where they were installed on the back shelf with the Infinity Grills, they *kicked*. Listen to some R&B, and you'll feel the bass drum kick.

Strengths:
Overall sound. Compare these with kenwoods, pioneer, pretty much anything that's near the same price, and they all *suck*. The speakers hit lower and harder than comparable models.

Weaknesses:
Must have room to flex for good sound.. ummm.. ahhh.. Damn, that's about it. Also, I wish they had made the leads a screw down or some such, then they would have been perfect.

I really dont know where this other guy gets his info from, I am an audiophile and currently running a 1400 watt system, have tried the pioneer, and kenwood mids, etc...... all junk, they blow..... I use all comp orion and crunch usa amps, and I know the installer where i get my stuff, theses infinities sound nicer than the kappa's, the kappa's are good but these are clean very clean, and the bass is tight and responsive, 6.5's of ANY type arent really made for Low mid bass, some yes but not much. if you want midbass only and have lots a watts to push i recommend some audio bahn mid bass drivers, as for clean mid and sharp crisp High and fullness, i rate these infinities as the best out there, so do the installers at atlas, they do 100's of systems and have tried it all and these are nice, remember with mids you need to match the wattage, a matched speaker makes a big difference in sound and so does the quality of the amp. Compared to pioneers best and kenwoods best, they drag in the mud big time compared to the infinity reference, I changed all 4 doors in my jeep to infinity reference, big difference, and i'm pushing 75 to 100 watts per speaker to each door, as for a sub, i did the 2000 watt fosgate power DVC 15, it makes the ground rumble, nice.... fosgate is good for subs, but their mids have decreased in quality over the years. Do yourself a favor, for mids dont mess around get some reference to your Hearing!!!!!

Summary:
These speakers are very clear on their mid range, but lack below 120Hz and above 10k Hz. They are decent for the price but quite overrated. Definately a step up from factory, but do not belong in a high-end system.

BASS!! Very weak on the bass side. The highs are very glaring at high volumes.
