This CD head unit kicks @ss.After listening many head units on my cd i found this unit better then alpine'clarion and kenwood.it's looks great and plays clean no doubt.it does not skips at all even on bumpy rides.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
paint start to come off after some months from volume buttons.DC to DC converter hard to put insdie area of deck opening.face plate gets hot after long plays but that's ok.should have EQ for more sound staging& settings.face plate cover broke once it fall down.no MP3 player like new panasonics.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $310.00 from Canal St.

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Summary:
I think that this was the best CD player I have ever had and will ever own. I gave it to my brother simply to help him out so he would not have to go through the hassle of finding a good CD player. But now I’m regretting it. I can't find any CD players that even come close to this one, especially for the price I paid. It never skipped once the whole time I owned it, and I do some heavy off roading. I not talking yuppie in a SUV I talking 4X4 pick-up mud bogging off roading. This CD player urged me on begging for harder bumps and jumps. Not to mention the fantastic look it has silver and blue, I had blue lights to match through out my truck (got pulled over a bunch of times but so what). This thing is the best hands down. I wish I still had mine. do not think that i just rated it 5 of 5 for no reason i realy do thik it is the best!

Strengths:
a lot! too many to mention

Weaknesses:
i would not mind a motorized face

Similar Products Used:
you name it i have tried it or talked to some one has.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This is one of the worst headunits I have ever used! I realised that for the money i apid, i would rather had gotten a pioneer. Looks good but minimum functions. HOwever i found one gimmick in this H/U. If u hold down the source button for 3 secs then press the disc changer buttons in the following order: 645321~ you will get a new screen changer. there are 5 in total if u do it right. you have to press the buttons at staccato rhythm. PLay nelly furatdo and go to track 3. then listen for the bass beat. press the buttons at this beat and you will get it.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Simplycheap.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1989 S-10 Blazer

Summary:
Ok, just by seeing this sweet looking thing in a Crutchfield mag I knew this thing was going to be the ultimate CD player...AND IT IS!!!! Few words can describe this cd player...stunning, absolutely stunning. I''ve only had it for two weeks, yet I''m still mesmerized by the visual displays. If you''re into House/Trance music, display ''C'' alternates nicely with the music. Thank you Simplycheap.com!!! If you want good deals, check that place out!

Strengths:
Stunning looks, one of the higher powered cd receivers (60 watts), Three sets of 5 volt preouts (very nice for pushing subs!), AUX output; there''s basically too much good stuff on this thing! Also, it''ll make all your friends jealous! The ladies love it too!

Weaknesses:
A weakness? On a Panasonic?!

Similar Products Used:
Panasonic CQ DF600U (good cd player; sold it to get current one); Two Sonys (good cd players, just that beeping reminder to remove the faceplate is annoying!)
