Summary:
Recently transfered this unit from a previous vehicle in which I enjoyed this unit for more than 6 years. Yes 6 years in a truck and it still functions great although it now has a few hair-line scratches on the faceplate. I am currently looking to update it ONLY to obtain the IPOD uplink for an MP3 Player connection to avoid adding a changer. (6 CD Changer vs 30 Gig - entire CD Collection, hum?) IT STILL SOUNDS GREAT, AS GOOD AS THE NEW UNITS WITH ONE EXCEPTION, THE Alpine IDA-X001, SWEET UNIT)

Get it cheap online if you can find one...

Weaknesses:
FEATURES PRESENT IN TODAY'S ALPINE UNITS, NOTHING ELSE.
