Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $175.00 from sound advice

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 orion cobalt cs150.2

Summary:
i have used this amp for over 2 years now as a sub amp. i n that time, it has pushed: a kenwood excelon db+ 4-ohm 12", a kicker solobaric L7 12" dual 2-ohm voice coil 12", and a kicker comp vr dual 2-ohm voice coil 12". an excellent all around amp; plenty of power, very flexible, and almost bulletproof. I have never had a problem out of it.going to try it running full- range on a set of 6x9 three ways, now.

Strengths:
great bang for the buck, good power for the money, very stable, acts like a much bigger amp.

Weaknesses:
its only drawback is the plugs that are used for all the wire connections. very annoying at times. i pulled the little metal pieces inside that the set screws tighten down against so that the set screws actually contact the wire instead. that solved most of the irritation for me.

Similar Products Used:
rockford fosgate punch 55.2, kicker ss160, phoenix gold xs6600, alpine mrd-m300

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $78.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002/ Orion CS150.2

Summary:
This amp replaced a Fosgate 300S. The Fosgate was decent, but when I installed the CS150.2 into my truck, I left all the setting on my stereo the same. Once installed, it cranked even louder than the Fosgate. A LOT louder. I had to turn the bass boost and my subwoofer control level down to 0 after this amp started pounding. All in all, Orion as normal.

Strengths:
Tiene mucho huevos! Lots o' b*lls!

Weaknesses:
Plugs are awkward, but perectly usable.

Similar Products Used:
Fosgate 300S, Orion 225HCCA, Orion 275SX, Orion 222SX, Orion 2250SX, Orion 2100HCCA.

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $200.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
Im happy with it. Probably an accurate rating. I have it hooked up in stereo to two Mb quart discus 10" in a box built to spec. it delivers nice tight bass in the back of my camaro firing off the glass. i really havnt been into car stereo for quite a while so i cant really compare it to any thing else. If you can get one for a fair price I think its worth it. it moves my rear veiw mirror and if im parked i can feel it in the back of my seat. Im ready to use as a front stage amp and get a little more power to the rear. Again its good starter for the price. and if you upgrade to a higher wattage system it should be ideal power for front stage or rear fill. Im ready for some bass you can feel outside the car.

Strengths:
price per watt, i like the crossover adjustment because you can pick a frequency accuratly, although i read in that other guys review it''s slope could be steeper. We''ll see when i use it for my kicker resonance seperates.

Weaknesses:
not sure.

Similar Products Used:
punch 75, linear power, ppi sedona.
