Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
i have this amp 2weeks, i used it 1 week en the other 1 week its in repair, probably my fault with the remote wiring that short circuited the rca.

but it is a very good audiphile product, the sound of this amp is clear, stable (even on high volume), warm with a nice crispy high.

it uses a lot of power, and indeed it runs hot but thats no problem cause it has 2 fans in the heatsink that reduces the heat to an acceptable level.

so i keep my fingers crossed for the repair and hopefuly its only the 4 transistors of the 16 that this amp uses , and even if there is more broken i wil have it repaired cause this is a jewel.

Strengths:
audiphile design, beautyfull to see
warm low, smooth mid, crispy high and stable (even if played on the max)
wiring connections, power on the back , rca and speaker outputs on the front.

Weaknesses:
no stepples crossover but a switch with preset frequency`s and a full range option, this COULD be a problem with some speakers to tune but with an aditional crosover there nothing to worry about.
power consumption

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $46.00 from used ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 sony es xm3546

Summary:
another quality product from Sony ES, just good old honest transparent clean power. I would rate this amp as an audiophile sq product. I have used many amps from ppi, fosgate, carver, tubedriver, zed audio, harmon kardon, coustic design reference, nakamichi, soundstream, tru, audison, xtant ect. I would rate this amp in the slightl upper middle half.

Strengths:
1ohm stable, transparent sound, small package without endcaps,

Weaknesses:
emphasized treble, runs hot, power hungry
