Price Paid:  $35.00 from Internet Forum

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Lanzar Optidrive 1000.1D

Summary:
I purchased this amp from a guy on an audio forum. It was broken when I purchased it, so this is the reason for the cheap price. I replaced some of the internals and it works fine. I have been very impressed by the output. I have put it on a huge variety of subs. These include... Three Adire Audio Tempests - 1.3 ohms Two Pioneer TS-W304C's - 2 ohms One Adire Audio Tempest - 4 ohms One Rockford Fosgate Power DVC 15" - 2 ohms One Onyx LSM 15" - 2 ohms One Digital Designs 9515 - .7 ohms It pushed every sub(s) very well. Regardless of the impedence, it easily puts out more than its rated power. I have it running at .7 ohms currently on the Digital Designs 9515. It takes it with no problem even when playing test tones.

Strengths:
Awesome Power Clean Looks Nice build quality Way different than lower Lanzar lines

Weaknesses:
Allen wrench screws are easy to lose if not tightened down all the way. They seem to loosen up by themselves over time. It would be nice if there was a stop on them to prevent them from unscrewing all the way. Very minor problem.

Price Paid:  $220.00 from ebay

Summary:
I bought the Opti 1000.1D to replace a Vibe 1200D that had given me some trouble (2 went up in smoke in less than 24 hrs of use). The optidrive is a whole different level of amp. It's surprising they're built by the same company. Its looks, physical size, precise controls, and board layout are all exactly what I expected from an american made product. I run the Opti at 2 ohms on a pair of 12's and couldn't be happier. I honestly believe that the Lanzar Optidrives are right on pace with brands like JL Audio and Directed Audio. The Opti's are the real deal.

Strengths:
Strapability Under-ratedness Precise controls Sub-sonic Filter

Weaknesses:
It is very large and very heavy for a 1200 watt amp. Not sure how much of a "wekness" that is, but I tried to come up with something.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $189.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Opti1000.1D

Summary:
Powerfull amp, Have it running two Audiobahn 1200q. It pounds so hard your throat feels like it's closing on you. Hit a 154 with two 12's running at 1 Ohm, in a single cab ranger.

Strengths:
Looks good, I can run it as loud as I want for 20 minutes and the amp still feels cold.

Weaknesses:
Wiring is a confusing for someone with not a lot of experience, but for someone who knows a little about installation, Haven't found one weekness yet.

Price Paid:  $369.00 from local dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:

Summary:
After i was so satisified with the Lanzar Vibe 1200D i decided to buy the Opti. I give the Vibe a 10 and the Opti a 20, this amp is a marvel of modern technology. Dont belive me, just take the cover off. Its American construction is damn scary and brutal. Its a heavy very powerfull Digital amplifer that puts out about 1.5 kw''s at a 1 ohm , ive heard of people putting 1/2 ohm loads on them but i wouldent reccomend it. Its clean, powerfull looks great and its the best of the lanzar line up.

Strengths:
Looks great under rated under priced

Weaknesses:
........ None
