Model Reviewed: Armada

Strength:

Roomy, Solid, comfortable, nimble for such a large vehicle

Weakness:

Issue with computer, moonroof rattle, rear window leak through bolt...all repaired under warranty. Likes to drink gas (15-18 avg)

We test drove several large vehicles to handle a family of six. Minivans are uninspiring and boring. In looking at SUVs the Armada stood out due to the technology it had, the driving dynamics, and room. Egress is easy for everyone. It's easier to get to the back by going through the center. I removed the center seat in the middle thus allowing a path to the third row seats.

The satellite radio, Bose, 12 speaker sound system, bluetooth, DYD screen, CF drive, and built in hard drive give plenty of entertainment options for long trips. Long trips don't wear you out. Headphones for the kids allow me to listen to my own program while they watch a movie.

Driving dynamics are good for such a large vehicle. Acceleration is good with 385lbs of torque. Braking is solid. Turns are handled well for a large vehicle.

Overall I am very happy with our LE model and hope it will last 10+ years.
